COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Jackhammer is a very dark brown ale with a nice reddish hue. Offering a welcome warming sensation, it has a rich malty sweetness. Fruity esters, expected in this style beer, add to the already complex palate and help to provide an immensely satisfying experience!

Pours a dark ruby with a huge khaki head. Very carbonated. Great aroma, dark fruit mixed with roasty malt. Taste starts sweet (caramel, fruit, sugar) and ends bitter with slight booze. The alcohol is hidden well though, but you can feel it. Very well balanced from beginning to end. This is one of the best winter warmers Iíve had. Must try.

On tap at brewery. Deep red pour. Didnít get the advertised "chocolate covered cherry," but did get elements of tart booze as it warmed.

Bottle picked up at Tiffanyís in Kalamazoo. Pours a dark brown with ruby highlights on the edges, about a finger of khaki head, nice lines of lace. Nose is sweet caramel and dark fruits. Tastes sweet, a little bit of boozy bite, softness in the mouth, vanilla too. Decent.

bottle. Amber brown with one finger head. Mild malt, very smooth and sweet. Iíve only had a few old ales that really I appreciated, but this is definitely one.

Deep brown with a red hue. Aroma is chocolate, dark fruit and nuts. A smooth and rich beer, with some nuttiness, and sweetness. and mild fruit flavours. Alcohol very well hidden. Itís an interesting beer, but not mind blowing.

Very black, no head. Rich chocolate, dried fruit, gingerbread and spice on the nose. Strong palate, a little hot, with hot cocoa, cream and baking spice flavors. Tasty. Definitely a winter warmer.
