3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 dmschefke (560) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - JUL 3, 2012Pours a dark brown, almost black, with medium tan head, decent lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, moderate chocolate, and sweetness. Flavor matches well, but definitely needed a bit more chocolate in order to carry the Mackinac Island Fudge name.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 BMMillsy (681) - Florida, USA - OCT 12, 2012
Pours black with more carbonation than expected. Aroma of heavy chocolate. Flavor is extremly dry without much flavor. Stale cocoa aftertaste and slight hop bite. More of a summer stout I guess, but just not very good.

2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 MrBunn (2219) - Western, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2012
Bottle. Pours dark brown... Aromas of roasty malt and lovely dark chocolate with a little twang. Flavor is a decent stout with a slight infection and sour edge. Again... Arbor needs quality control.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hombrepalo (1623) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 19, 2012
12oz bottle picked up out there. Poured muddy brown with a head that disappears almost instantly. This has a nice choocolate character once tasted but a relatively mild nose and a bit of alcohol heat and sticky sweetness that also take it down a notch. The fudge was barely noticable.
2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BAMF (33) - Albion, Michigan, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Pours fudge black with no head. The aroma, which I found to be the best part of the beer is the smell when you first enter a fudge store on Mackinac. The almost clinical sweetness with very light chocolate. This is the beginning and end to the fun. The taste does not create the same excitement. Less bold, less exciting, less memorable. Begins with a bland chocolate and ends a bit sour with a mouth feel too thin for the color or occasion.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 umich03jm (909) - Allen Park, Michigan, USA - JUN 29, 2012
On draft. Pours a very dark black color with a small amount of beige head. Faint aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Taste is light sweetness mixed with bitter chocolate and overpowering roasted malt. Has a burnt flavor. Very thin mouthfeel and not much chocolate comes through for a beer with fudge in the title. Finish is smooth but leaves an odd flavor. Not a fan at all. It was hard to finish the pint.

Bottle. Fairly thin black pour with some head but no retention. Nose of roasted malt and coffee. Taste follows the nose and is rather eh. Where is the chocolate? Can't call this fudge stout and have no chocolate slapping you in the face.
