While our head brewer was on holiday, our second in command Paul came up with this cheeky little number. Apparently named after the river Malago which runs through his garden, it’s a nicely balanced golden ale brewed with a selection of hops from around the globe.

Hazy orange - gold beer, small white head. Crispy palate, semi dry. Minerals - bitterish seltzer. Fresh orange with lesser tangerine and bitter pith. Dry finish with a medium bitter linger. Not bad.

Bottle. Yellow with a small head. Fruity with some hops and a gentle bitterness. Wonderful combination of flavours. Yet another good one from this brewery-how do they do it!

Bottle from Grape & Grind, Bristol. Slightly hazy gold with a frothy white head that left rings down the glass. Grapefruit and pine aroma with a hint of malty sweetness. Flavour had more tropical fruits, biscuity malts and resinous, dry and lingering finish. Enjoyable.
