This beer leads off with a stiff round-house punch of citrusy hops, follows up with a quick kick of bready malts and warming alcohol, and finishes with a powerful and lingering bite of complex layered hops. This popular brew was inspired by ABC founder, head brewer and spiritual leader Matt Greff whose cartoon enhanced image graces the label.

Pours orangish red with off white head and light lacing. Aroma of caramel candy apple with extreme bitter citrus & grass. Taste is the same with malty backbone that has a bite. Need alittle better balance, but stil drinkable/enjoyable. Go Bucks!

bottle @ Chief Market / Lima OH --- Hazy amber brown color, beige head cover, lace curtain. Strong caramel malt that adds carbonation on the swallow, followed by a jolt of solid citrus hops. In all of this the malt never gets lost, growing into a long finish. Big, but a very satisfying brew.

12oz bottle from Andersons on Talmadge: copper-brown pour with thin off-white and a ring of bubbles. aroma of booze, burnt sugar, citrus. tastes are sweet sticky caramel malt, burnt vibe, herbal, honey, bread. strangely watery and heavy palate. not as awful as it sounds, but a sweet rough sipper at best.

Pour on tap at Crunchy’s, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, oxidized sugars, some orange, hints of earth, spice, grass, slight pine. Taste was a mix of orange, pine, grass into caramel, finishing slightly sweet, slightly boozy.

Bottle. Pours a murky brown. Small creamy tan head. Sweet aroma. Flavor is of bread, toast, and nuts. Definitely taste the alcohol. Bigger palate. Hops are there, but really have mellowed. Wonder if this bottle is pretty old. If so its held out ok, but to me the flavor is much more like a strong ale then a DIPA

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a medium head and aromas of citrusy soap. Flavor is a booze bomb with lots of sugars and a stinging hops presence. Lots of resin and floral hops play nice with the heavy ABV and make this seem like one of those IIPA/Barley Wine hybrids.

Aromas of sweet citrusy hops. Quite sweet. A bit of dough. Medium, off-white head and a copper/amber color. Pretty sweet palate, medium to heavy bitterness. Medium body, creamy and a bit oily texture; average carbonation; a long sweet, bitter and carbonated finish. Overall a pretty good beer.

Simcoe aroma. Kind of reminds me of the Victory IPA. Burnt orange color with a small white head. Not too crazy about the taste. Very bitter. Off balance. Might be a good beer to get drunk quick.
