New Oxford, Salford 27 Jan 13. Kjempedyprød. Lavt - litt farget skum. Bra sjokolade / lakrisaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken minner om en stout / porter. Avslutter tørt.

Cask by hand pump, shared half pint at the New Oxford Winter Ales Festival in Salford. Nice patches at the top of a pitch black body. Smell of earth and chocolate malt. Taste of cold coffee added by hints of cocoa. Bitter dark ending. Good, a bit thin in the mouth though (Greater Manchester, 27.01.2013).

A dark, slightly fruity ale with a small head. Some roasted malts are evident and its both mild and subtle in character.
