Nice without being great. Coffee, chocolate and yes you can taste the oysters, well you can get a salty slightly ozone chemical aftertaste which i like in oysters i was not that keen on in a drink.

Bottle in the homestead. Aroma is very nice - rich and malty and choccy and boozy and fresh. Medium to light body, mild carb - salty sweet chic, coffee, minerals and very tasty. Good.

Cask at the Hanging Bat. Looks the part, good dark brown to black pour with a tight tan head. Aromas of chocolate and mild coffee. More of that on the taste, alongside a slightly saline or metallic quality. A bit thin on the finish. Good, but not great.

500ml. Glossy pitch pour capped solidly with beige. Schwarz-like rusted girder, liquorice, toasted grain, Twiglet and dark chocolate stirred in coffee nose. Thick and smooth with well-roasted bittersweetness; rust, blackened grain, cold cocoa and underpinning black cherry and berry fruit. Tasty and impressive.
