Pours a deep dark brown. Aromas of sweet bread and Belgian yeast. Taste is Belgian yeast, sugar candy, wood and alcohol. Palate lingers with a nice subtle bitterness. Overall a wonderful beer, nice and balanced. Well done Corner.

On tap. Dark brown without much head. Mild but sweet aroma. Flavor is a bit sour with notes of raisins and plums. Crisp with a slightly sharp mix of carbonation and alcohol at the end.

Dark reddish brown ale. Has a sweet malty taste similar to lighter colored Belgian ales. Delicious.

Bottle from bu11zeye! Pours dark brown with a tannish head. Warm aromas of dark fruits - plums and dates. Full bodied, except the carb left quickly and it thinned rapidly. Itís oddly sour, with darkish fruit and some yeast/spice. A bit oaky? Itís definitely dry. No issue with heat. A different dubbel, but quite nice.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2013 12 ounce bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours very hazy dark reddish brown color with a 1 finger fairly dense cream colored head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of raisin, banana, prune, clove, pepper, molasses, toast, caramel, candi sugar, dark bread, and earthy yeast spiciness. Nice aromas with good complexity and balance of malt, fruity, and spicy ester notes; fairly strong on the spicy and earthiness. Taste of raisin, prune, banana, molasses, toast, caramel, clove, pepper, dark bread, candi sugar, and earthy yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of dark fruit, banana, molasses, toast, clove, pepper, caramel, dark bread, candi sugar, and earthy yeast spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance of malt, dark fruit, and spicy ester flavors; with good complexity and zero cloying flavors present after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a lightly slick, earthy, and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good dubbel style. Nice complexity and balance of flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Hazy red brown color with minimal lacing. Slight fruitiness on the nose a palate. A pretty solid dubbel with just a little too much carbonation. Good red fruit feel.

deep brown with one finger head. Maltier and far less caramel/toffee than other dubbels Iíve had. Slightly toasty. Not my favorite example of the style.
