On tap at the pub: Dark brown with very little head. Aroma of bread, some sweet malts, brown sugar. Flavor, yeasty, some floral notes, some sugars, and a bit of alcohol.

Jul 12, 2008 Bottle. Goodbar Beer Club. Nose is nearly burnt malt, a bit of fruit, alcohol, yeasty & spicy. Flavor is rich malt, caramels, bitter (but not acrid) malts, tart, almost green apple but not quite - somehow tarter. Like a dubbel with a bit of cherry/stout/wood.

Jul 5, 2008 Thanks to Notalush. Poured a clear mahogany and a thin off-white head. The aroma smells like glue and caramel. The flavor was mildly tart with notes of caramel and cola. Light-medium body.

Jul 5, 2008 Bottle - hazy amber beer - aroma is doughy and vegetal, with some ambiguous fruit notes - tart and earthy flavor, with some doughy sweetness underneath - a wee bit of cherry - not much else happening here.

May 29, 2008 This one will sneak up on you if you are not careful (I speak from experience). So easy drinking and rather strong... bad combo. But oh so delicious.

May 23, 2008 Tasted 5/16/08. 12oz bottle. Hazy and opaque brown hue. Moldy ring of bone white head. Toasty with a slight raisin and fudge and cocoa aroma. Sweet sugary malts. Very sweet. Syrupy sweet with a slight bitterness. Mild effervescence. Sweet breads. Medium to full bodied and sticky. Slight hoppy character. Good esters. Apples and berries. Less sweet and more tart as it warms. Slight orange and graham cracker flaovr. Good tart citrus note. Nice roast and yeast character. Lingering finish. Very nice!
