Nice dark amber body with a small tan head. Sweet aroma, caramle, candi sugar and yeast. The flavor is very sweet and candyesque. Alos very yeasty. Soft syrupy full body. Interesting but a bit too sweet.

On tap: LIght sweet aroma of apples. Transparent amber with a white head. Real sweet from start to finish with apple. Nothing to really balance all the sugary sweetness hurts this beer.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 AustinMilbarge (681) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 13, 2005
Malty, uber-sweetness, it was difficult to get my mouth around. Almost a kids cough syrup consistency to it.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 unclebleen (620) - California, USA - JAN 11, 2005
sampled at the brewpub. pours a nice dark amber color with a small white head. aroma is burnt fruit, yeast and spice. flavor is flavor is muck more fruity and vinious. like mixing candy with grapes and letting them ferment for a few months. body is really nice and smooth with a good alcohol kick at the end. this is very, very good.
4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - DEC 30, 2004
Sample at the brewpub. I hesitated as to whether to call this an ABT, but the alcohol is low and nothing in the description provided indicates that for sure...certainly it is the brewer’s attempt at something "special" and rare, and on that level it is an unquestionable success. Body is oily medium amber, a touch of head appears as the small glass is swirled...on the nose, baked bananas, sourdough yeastiness and caramel cream, spicy cinnamon all take their turns trying to knock me out, but it isn’t until tasting that I really believe: brown sugar, grapes, cherries, vanilla and all manner of desserts, with an awesome amaretto liqueur character appearing near the long, juicy candyish finish...touches of pepper and alcohol, and a leathery slight oxidation give it a meaty, complex, aged character like great port or cognac, though the flavor profile is more like hefeweizen-meets-tripel. Stunning.
