Bottle... Pours cloudy and burnt-orange with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The bouquet features a swirl of caramel, fruitcake, spicy grains and cotton candy. Full-bodied and creamy with lazy carbonation. The flavor is lightly bitter, spicy, malty and fruity. Finishes mildly raspy with an aftertaste of caramelized rye malt. Bottle courtesy of FlandersNed!

way too sweet and malty for a "RyePA" despite the spice and flavor it offers. kind of messy and overly orchestrated. somehow finishes bitter with some alcohol heat - not a remarkable brew.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle: The aroma consists of fruit, rye, citrus, and a touch of caramel. It pours a hazy/cloudy dark amber with a two finger orange-tinged off-white head that fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose a fruit that disappears behind moderate caramel and light toffee. The finish has has some aged citrus hops and light rye. Itís medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, maybe this is past itís prime. I donít see a date on the bottle, but it tastes like and old Rye IPA.

12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. Shared with caterwaul and kammeraj. Mostly clear red color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good spread of bits of lace. Looks solid. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. More creamy texture, pretty nice. Lightly dry finish. Great spicy rye malt, some bready biscuity malt. Good spicy earthy lightly citrusy hop. Moderate sweet taste, good light to moderate bitter. Nice balance in the taste, and a balance in the malts and the hops. Very nice rye beer. Very smooth and easy drinking.

Pours a bright orange-red with a long-lasting foamy white head. Has a spicy, fruity hops aroma. Flavor is also marked by a spice character, along with a sweet fruit, malts, and some light hops. Has a medium body feel. Pretty good, though itís light for an imperial ipa.
