Ryeclops is dominated with a mouthful of distinct rye malt character complimented by the spicy fruity hoppiness of American high-alpha simcoe hops. Use caution when confronted with the Ryeclops, as it’s delightful aroma and complex flavor camouflage a might, boozy-backboned single-hopped monster of a brew!

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy copper with an off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, a lot of caramel malts, some dough, alcohol, and some hints of off notes. Flavor the same with a weird finish. Average texture. Probably won’t finish a third of this bottle.

Bottle... Pours cloudy and burnt-orange with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The bouquet features a swirl of caramel, fruitcake, spicy grains and cotton candy. Full-bodied and creamy with lazy carbonation. The flavor is lightly bitter, spicy, malty and fruity. Finishes mildly raspy with an aftertaste of caramelized rye malt. Bottle courtesy of FlandersNed!

way too sweet and malty for a "RyePA" despite the spice and flavor it offers. kind of messy and overly orchestrated. somehow finishes bitter with some alcohol heat - not a remarkable brew.

Bottle at home. Pours a dark amber with a thin off white head that lingers. Aroma is slight toffee and citrus flavor follows with moderate bitterness. Some alcohol is noticeable. Overall a very enjoyable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Extra from flandersned-thanks, Steve! Amber orange. Big malt driven nose with rye bread, rich citrus hops. Some rye spice, light yeast, pine, lingering bitterness, slightly warming. Solid.

Ryeclops pours a mostly cloudy burnt orange with a nice light tan head that lasts a good while and is easily provoked. The aroma is rye bread, caramel and citrus. The flavor is rye bread, caramel, spices and citrus. Overall this is a pretty decent beer.

Bottle: The aroma consists of fruit, rye, citrus, and a touch of caramel. It pours a hazy/cloudy dark amber with a two finger orange-tinged off-white head that fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. There is some thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose a fruit that disappears behind moderate caramel and light toffee. The finish has has some aged citrus hops and light rye. It’s medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, maybe this is past it’s prime. I don’t see a date on the bottle, but it tastes like and old Rye IPA.

12oz bottle, thanks to umich03jm. Shared with caterwaul and kammeraj. Mostly clear red color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good spread of bits of lace. Looks solid. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of crisp, lighter carbonation. More creamy texture, pretty nice. Lightly dry finish. Great spicy rye malt, some bready biscuity malt. Good spicy earthy lightly citrusy hop. Moderate sweet taste, good light to moderate bitter. Nice balance in the taste, and a balance in the malts and the hops. Very nice rye beer. Very smooth and easy drinking.
