Our traditional small batch IPA is cask conditioned, dry hopped, hand pulled, and served at cellar temperature (55°). Coppery-gold hue with a full floral cascade hop aroma. Rich bready malts lay a perfect foundation for the profusion of tangy, citrusy hops that infuse this beer with a distinct ruby-red grapefruit quality that starts on the palate and lingers through a long satisfying finish.

Thanks to Hopscotch for sending this one my way. Pours murky copper with a generous beige head. The aroma has some grapefruit hops, toasted malt and orange citrus hops. Unfortunately there is also wet cardboard oxidation. Medium body with lots of tingly carbonation. Taste starts with lots of woody / cardboard hops with some malt and a bit of non-hop spice. The finish is sharp and astringent. I think this one sat around a bit too long. Sometime in the future I’ll have to find this one again.

12 oz bottle. Thanks Schroppfy! Amber color and medium head, a bit cloudy. Nice bittering...wow, pretty bitter! Resiny, not citrusy. There is malt to back it up. Some mineral flavors but overall pretty nice. The alcohol comes through. Good beer!

Feel fairly certain that those seeking specific notes on flavor peruse ratings of others. If you wish general sensory notes and their affects upon the brain damaged, you may continue to read mine. This was pleasant to the extreme. One of those with a high level of bittering and near perfect balance with malt. Wish like heck I could pull what hop(s) were used. The downfall of this was what was once an asset - that it was hand delivered to me by Scroppfy, but now I have but an empty bottle upon which to reflect. *sigh* Thanks Michael (and Heather)

Bottle. Cloudy sediment-laden peach body, thin off-white head. Strong citrusy aroma, piney, with sweet caramels and breads. Caramely, bready body with light sweetness, balanced by medicinal, herbal hops. There’s a funky yeast component that reminds me of Leopold Bros., another Ann Arbor brewer. Nice.

On tap at the pub. Nice citrus hops in the aroma and also a little caramel malt. Pretty sweet overall but a nice hop flavor in the background.

Bottle... Cloudy amber ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Excellent retention. Fruity, estery nose with herbal, citrus hops. Notes of caramel and black tea. The flavor is sweet, black tea up front, followed closely by grape fruity, metallic hop bitterness. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with moderate carbonation. Crisp finish with mild bitterness.

Starts with an aroma of citrus hops, with a sweet malt smell behind it. Pours a cloudy amber color with a small head. Nice blending of hops in the flavor, with a nice long finish. A good solid IPA.

12 oz bottle from Ogglethorp (thanks!). Pours a hazy amber with a small head. Nose is grapefruit, pine and some caramel. Tastes like it smells with some grassy hops as well. Bittersweet finish with a lingering orange/grapefruit somewhat metallic aftertaste. Medium/full body. Moderate carbonation. A good solid refreshing IPA.
