COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular. Also available bottle conditioned.
As the name suggests, we’ve used just one variety of hop in this pale golden ale. Brewed with just low colour Maris Otter malt and a little wheat for head retention, we’ve selected some of the more “interesting” hops and added several bucket loads to each brew. Currently we’re using one of our favourites, NZ Motueka. Expect a tropical citrus twist, with hints of lemon and lime.

Cask at Cloisters, 3.8% ABV. Clear golden body with a thin white head that holds well. Nice lacing. Aroma of green apple, hay and apricot. Flavour is light and fruity - notes of lime, underripe pear and orange. Thin to medium body with a creamy texture. Soft tickle of carbonation. This is a beer I could drink all day long.

Cask @ Castle Hotel, Manchester. Paler gold colour with a small creamy head. The hop is lovely with a very drinkable light tropical fruit fused with a sweet bubbly gum flavour. It’s nose is very guava fruit.

A huge fruit bomb hits the tongue from the off followed by a more subtle bitter finish. This hop is amazing & this beer takes full advantage of its taste. Rated by BrewTom

Cask, The Swan & Rushes, Leicester. Golden with an off white foam. Aromas are green apple with light grapefruit and bready yeast. A bit sudsy with clean melon and white grape. Flavours are clean grain with mellow pithy grapefruit and spices. Sweet white grape with green apple skin. Dry with a lightly nutty, leafy finish. Mellow but nice.

On gravity at Parkstone beer festival; gold, no head; the first beer of the festival is often the best and this wasn’t the exception - a classic grapfruity pale ale, but nicely soft, with lots of grassy hops; straightforward but good and moreish; I tend to avoid Arbor because of the ridiculous and annoying number of one-off beers they brew - I fortunately forgot on this occasion; chances of ever coming across this again are unfortunately very slim, however.
