bottle... bright dark orange, medium clarity, off white ring forms... a bit sweet for a sour, reminds me of faro, barley, wet oak, and hay, it works... again mostly sweet but more tart than the nose implies, I’d sat this is a great faro, easy to drink, smooth, nice bite, quite enjoyable and probably the best Arbor beer I’ve had

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma has a lot of sour apple and cherry notes, as well as some biscuit and funk qualities. The flavor is similar. I get some very nice sour fruit (apples, cherries, grapes), as well as some light funk, light leather and a high level of tartness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very refreshing and easy to drink.

In short: A not-too-sour very oaky fruity blonde ale. Refreshing and easy to drink for the style. Good stuff
How: Bottle 750ml, consumed when approximately 8 months of age (8 months after first rating, I’m assuming it was only brewed once). Bottle sent to me by sarro, thanks a lot Kyle
The look: Cloudy orange blonde body topped by an off-white ring of foam
In long: Nose is very oaky, lots of wood but also plenty of fruits like oranges, apples, mangos. Not a lot of bugs showing in the aroma. Taste is pleasantly not too intense. There is a nice fruitiness with grapefruits, young red apples, pineapples, raspberry seeds, tart lemons, even some strawberries. Medium lactic acid, plenty of wet oak, low-medium sourness level. Finish is astringent and with an after-taste of wet-oak. The beer intensity is relatively low compared to most American Sours nowadays. These days I find myself more often than not having a hard time drinking a full 750ml of an American sour, because the emphasis seems to be more and more on intensity. Not the case here, this was easy to drink and very enjoyable even if not overly complex. A good beer, and enjoying good craftbeer is one of the many benefits that come with being a heterosexual Caucasian man.

Shared by daknole. Bottle pours hazy orange/amber with a thin head. Aroma shows peach, lemon, oak, and light funk. Flavor shows the same with a slight herbal quality as well as grassy/floral hops. Overall body is light to moderate and the finish is dry/tart.

Bottle thanks to GRG1313 (and I also have one in a trade thanks to tytoanderso). Pours with a hazed golden body with a small white head. Aromas are floral, estery, rose water, sour, stone fruit and lemon juice. Acid more than funk on the nose. Flavors are sour, strong acid, lemon, floral and medium tannin. Very light funk. Lively bubbles, dry and mouthpuckeringly tart.

The pour is a golden orange color with a a tall white head. There’s a light tartness to the aroma that is quite nice. A good fruitiness to it as well as a bit of malt flavor and sweetness. There is a light flavor of Sweet Tarts to the beer as well as some tart pears, lemons, and apples. A little bit of sweetness and a hint of straw and oak. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Cloudy caramel ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma furnishes peach, fallen apricot, oak and gloriously funky barnyard notes. Medium-bodied and creamy with airy carbonation. Nicely soured. The fuzzy fruits really dance here. Lightly sweet, but quite puckering as well. Finishes tart, fruity and mildly dry. World class effort!
