Mildly translucent and dirty copper-bronze in color with some dissipating tan bubbles that serve as lace. Milk chocolate and caramel lead to a copper kettle tinged Rolo aroma. Sweet, brown sugar crumble over apple pie, along with some wafts of cinnamon and apple juice. Flavor projects blonde bock traits. Curt vanilla and caramel sequence. Spicy, tin inundated deposits and peppered baguettes. Butterscotch underlies it all. Medium-to-full bodied. Balanced is skewed by over noble hopping, and the fundamental malt requirements seem to have been neglected. Finishes with spicy grain and butterscotch drizzles. A fair rendition.

On tap at Arbor Brewing. Pours amber with a white head. Toasty malt aroma. Flavor is similarly toasty malt, light hop flavors, slight sweetness, light honey and caramel. A solid job.

On tap December 2009 at the brewpub. Reviewed from notes.
Pours a light caramel brown. Brings forward quite a bit of sweetness and a bit of caramel and spice. Slightly hoppy. Taste brings hints of caramel and toffee, but mostly some generic sweetness. Feel is fairly light but works with the milder flavors. Drinkability is okay, but not a great representation of the style.

Bottle. Poured a clear deep orangish copper with an off-white head. Aroma was full of sweet grainy notes, kind of like a sweet bread. Flavor was sweet with grains and some spice (cinnamon and nutmeg) with a bit of an alcohol bite.

Draft sample at Arbor. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt and small hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium toasted sweet malt flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good beer and good to style.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ansermadide (864) - Kyle, Texas, USA - DEC 4, 2008
From 10-Beer Flight at Arbor Brewing Company Brewpub on December 1, 2008.
Orange-amber color. Partly cloudy. Lightly sweet, malty aroma. Flavor is much like a strong ale. Very sweet and has a sticky finish… almost cherryi-sh. You can taste a little pronounced hops as it hits the tongue. Very good!
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Atlove (41) - USA - JAN 26, 2008
Terminator Doppelbock pours a hazy toffee brown with very little head. The flavor is bready and sweet with some spice, but disappointingly thin and without much alcohol presence for this style. The best part of this beer for me was the 25 cent donation towards hunger relief.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 3fourths (6385) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 4, 2008
Light in color, similar to the Troegs with a golden amber red color. Lightly tingly on the tongue up front, sweet and floral, with some candy sugar and fruity notes through, finishing a little heavier on the yeast presence. Not a typical doppelbock but a good high gravity beer regardless.

Sample at brewpub. Pours a light brown color. The taste is sweet with mild spice. It is smooth and drinkable even with the high alcohol content.

Reddish with white soapy head. Some lace. Fruitiness in aroma and in the taste, perhaps too fruity, apple juice more describes the fruit. Well, sweet though drinkable.

On tap at the pub. Aroma of some light chocolate and very sweet and maybe some earthy euro hops. An average body and also some alcohol coming through.
