P-tor44 (887), Anchorage, Alaska, USA Jan 3, 2005 more bitter and way more apple than the word doppelbock suggests. thinner as well but I find no flaws in it. smokey, pleasant, oddly fits the establishment. not a big creamy hit over the head with carmel like i expected.
Atlove (27), USA Jan 26, 2008 Terminator Doppelbock pours a hazy toffee brown with very little head. The flavor is bready and sweet with some spice, but disappointingly thin and without much alcohol presence for this style. The best part of this beer for me was the 25 cent donation towards hunger relief. acrdz (4298), Boulder, Colorado, USA Jan 4, 2008 Light in color, similar to the Troegs with a golden amber red color. Lightly tingly on the tongue up front, sweet and floral, with some candy sugar and fruity notes through, finishing a little heavier on the yeast presence. Not a typical doppelbock but a good high gravity beer regardless. dsm (109), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Dec 10, 2007 Sample at brewpub. Pours a light brown color. The taste is sweet with mild spice. It is smooth and drinkable even with the high alcohol content. Sammy (3073), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 27, 2007 Reddish with white soapy head. Some lace. Fruitiness in aroma and in the taste, perhaps too fruity, apple juice more describes the fruit. Well, sweet though drinkable. bgburdman9 (722), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jan 11, 2007 On tap at the pub. Aroma of some light chocolate and very sweet and maybe some earthy euro hops. An average body and also some alcohol coming through.
