Cask; Occasional. Also available bottle conditioned.
Brewed specially for a chap visiting from Birmingham who claimed there are no good hoppy beers brewed in Bristol and "the local brewers use the same recycled hops teabag in their brews". So, here we have a Transpacific Pale Ale, brewed without teabags but instead large amounts of American and New Zealand hops.
Due to the level of interest generated, has become an occasional brew rather than the one-off originally intended.

Bottle [from trade with minutemat] @ home. Lightly hazy orange color, medium sized off-white head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is very fruity and hoppy. Taste is light to moderately malty, again very fruity, grapefruit, hops, fruit hops and nicely bitter. Medium body, medium carbonation, great balance. Lovely easy drinkable hoppy pale ale. Maybe it’s just because I’m in a good mood but I really really like this beer.

Cask. Golden colour, little head. Citrus fruit aroma, grapefruit? Lovely bitter flavour, dominated by more citrus hops, with a rather dry finish. Certainly hoppier than many other pale ales around.

Aroma: Passionfruit and grapefruit. Hints of menthol.

Appearance: Hazy, pale golden body with a small white head. Light carbonation. Slight lacing.

Taste: Very juicy. Fresh, bitter grapefruit flavours. Subtle pine notes. The hops are really well showcased in this.

Palate: Medium body with a slightly oily texture. Fizzy carbonation.

Overall: Hoppy, fresh and delicious. Reminds me of The Kernel’s Pale Ale Chinook Simcoe.

Cask-conditioned at the Watershed, Bristol 18/07/10. Deep gold in colour with a frothy white head. Aroma of Pineapples, gooseberry and grapefruit, with a touch of sweet malt. Flavour had more tropical fruit, some biscuity malts and a mouth puckering, dry finish with some pine resin. There’s some truth in what the visitor from Birmingham said, but Arbor buck the local trend. Very enjoyable.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, London on 13th April 2012. Gold with thin white head.. Rich hoppy aroma. Thickly bitter in-mouth with grassy bitternes. Bitter, satisfying finish.

Surprisingly delicious and refreshing. Best Arbor I’ve had. Bit flat, but hoppy citrusy golden ale with bitter follow. Good stuff.

Bottle from Stirchley Wines and Spirits, Birmingham. Cloudy straw yellow pour, white bubbly head. Nice hoppy spicy aroma with a bitter spicy dry hopped peppery flavour. A superb beer and I can't wait to buy more! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle conditioned, 500ml from West Country Ales, Cheddar, Somerset. Hazy gold with white head. There is a lovely hoppy aroma when the cap is popped, this follows through to the first sip of the beer, this is dry and intensely hoppy, grapefruit and gooseberry, green and a touch raw. Lasting on the palate. A very decent beer.

Really well hopped with a massive fruity character - mainly pineapple with some hints of passionfruit and peach. Some pepper too - really enjoyable beer.
