3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a slightly hazy medium amber with a thick white creamy head and lots of glass-hugging lace. The aroma is of course rather hoppy and with a little malt. The flavour is all about those American hops too! Itís a wonderfully smooth bitter taste, with a little liqourice and some maltiness too. This is not a dry, spicy IPA and will apeal to those people who like a bitter beer, but feel that sometimes American IPAís are over-hopped. This is yet another Arbor classic!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nov 2012 - British American-style IPA. Bottle. Quite hoppy, fruity, the expected grapefruit and pine, but there are tropical fruits too. Decent balance and not too floral/resiny. A sound American style IPA. My girlfriend thinks it tastes like washing up liquid. Canít disagree!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle from BeerRitz. Pours a clear copper orange-amber colour, frothy white head and aroma of caramel & fruity melon. Taste is sweet caramel malt, melon with warming alcohol notes and an earthy bitterness. Oily mouth feel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, quite OK.

330ml bottle (shared by FatPhil, thanks). Hazy orange color. Medium size head, holds quite nice. Fruit flesh, peach, slightly sweet notes in aroma. Quite lovely aroma. Sweet, fruity, oranges, malty flavor. Bit sticky and messy, but not bad at all. In fact very drinkable.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(cask) Brass coloured, hazy, no head at all. Aroma is fruity with melon, pear, along with a pale malty base. Taste is initially quite sweetish, reminds me of fruit nectar, and finishes with medium bitterness. Almost flat carbonation, smooth. Syrupy-fruity. Too sweet for my taste. Otherwise good.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2013 Cask (Gallows Bird, Espoo, Fest2013) (6:4:6:3:13=3.2)
Hazy orange, healthy off-white head. Sticky sweet fruit aroma. Sticky resiny green hops. Tastes like it has bitter fertilised female hops in there too. Smooth palate, carbonation low. Sweet sticky fruity body, and quite acidic - leaves my uvula tingling as if Iíve just vomitted. A bit OTT, not so drinkable.
Rerate: 330ml bottle (Bacchanalia, Cambridge) (7:4:6:4:13=3.4)
Very flowery aroma, some fleshy fruits too, but the flowers dominate despite what Anna or Marduk says. Hazy orange, large tight persistent head. Nice hoppy body, lots of resins, but not as acidic as the cask version. Nice mellow light bready grains in the finish, as well as the raw raw hops.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Neat and almost Weiss-like nose, without the clove cut back but a . Similarly creamy body with a slim but stern white head. Fresh chunky hops from start to finish and a sleek citrus backbone thanks to an intriguing icey palate. Clean Pineapple lift to the linger.
Very impressive on all counts, to the brim with the hop platter in the glass with an unnerving level of sweetness and refreshment. Almost frozen yoghurt style complex on the palate - cool and creamy - with a very well tied up citrus thread throughout.
