COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Ypsi Gypsy contains mostly pale malts for a light body and lower alcohol beer. Hop bitterness is balanced by several late additions of Cascade and Centennial hops which give this beer a fruity citrusy hop flavor and a beautiful hop aroma.

Draft. Poured a hazy copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate earthy hop and small malt aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium citrus bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. I would recommend this to a freind.

Tap @ Arbor. Cloudy, yellow orange appearance with a big, fluffy white head. Slightly resiny, piney hoppy aroma with some citrus notes. A little thin. Grapefruit, piney, slightly resiny hoppy, light pale malty flavor. Pretty good.

On tap at the Ypsi Brewpub. Poured a clear deep gold with a nicely lacing white head. Aroma was full of hops, mainly pine notes with an undertone of orange peel. Flavor was hoppy throughout with a well balanced combination of citrus (orange) and pine.

Bottle: The aroma has moderate-heavy orange, light lemon, grapefruit, and a hint of caramel. It pours a hazy golden-orange with lots of sediment. It has a three finger off-white head that leaves behind some nice webbing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with and even mixture of citrus (mostly orange) and caramel. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit and a touch of lemon. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, this is a really flavor and well balanced Pale Ale. I’ll definitely be picking up some more of this for the summer. It’s been awhile since Arbor impressed me with something new in a bottle.

Hazy golden yellow with a creamy taupe head. Aroma is grainy and pale with corn and dusty malts. Taste comes through better than aroma with citrus and floral hops along with pale malt and low bitterness.

Yellow gold color out of the bottle with a huge, frothy white head. Very effervescent beer. Light spritzy, lemony nose. Lemon peel and some bitter orange peel hop flavors with some light toast underneath. Long red grapefruit peel finish. Okay pale.

this beer is better than claimed, very balance and full flavored, golden colored, not much head or lacing just a little cloudy but very nice

Sampled from a bottle purchased at Champanes, this beer poured a hazy gold-orange with burnt orange color at the edges of the glass and made a four finger white and faint off-white head that receded to a thick billowing cover, the glass had generous carbonation, it left nice spots and rings of lacing, this ale had aromas of orange fruit, citrus and faint floral hops, faint toasted malt, there was some malt and fruit sweetness, it had flavors of citrus and light grassy hops with light toasted malt and fruit, there was some sweetness but the hops overshadowed it, the finish had a good hop bitterness to dry the palate, the mouth feel was light and creamy, and there was lots of carbonation on the tongue, a good APA.

Draft. Pours a slightly cloudy light orange color with no head. Hoppy aroma of grass, flowers, and citrus. Taste is a bit odd. Lots of bitterness is a little off putting. The hops don't seem to have a nice fresh flavor and the finish has an odd aftertaste. Disappointing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
