Old rating Amber color, one fingered head. Aroma is sweet; light caramel, mild earthiness/spiciness, some fruit? Taste is light caramel, malty, and slightly sweet. Mild earthy & spicy finish. Typical blah amber ale; light malt, light english-type hops.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ehhdayton (1188) - USA - APR 3, 2006
There is a pleasent aroma of caramel malt and some fruitiness. The pourr is a cloudy amber with an off white head. Slight caramel sweetness at the front and grows to a slight hoppish finish.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 cking (1175) - North Canton, Ohio, USA - FEB 21, 2008
Clear amber-brownish copper color with a lasting 1/2" frothy head and nice stringy lacing. Aroma is woody with a delicate mix of grassy and toasted malt. Medium bodied with a creaminess that finishes watery and bitter. Burnt caramel and toffee flavors backed up by some toast and grassy, bittering hops. This beer soon grew overly bitter and bland, not too far off from the style.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 MAP (1133) - Lakewood, Ohio, USA - JUN 30, 2005
Got this at Chucks in Chagrin. This has been sitting out for since a half hour ride in the trunk of the car, but it still poured a huge head, spilling out of the bottle. Flavor is a bit nuttish, smooth light caramel body as well. Not to exciting of a beer. Would make a pretty good cooking brew.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 tennisjoel (1111) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - AUG 21, 2005
Bottle: Amber color (as implied in the name) with nice full white head. Aroma is floral hops. Taste is somewhat bitter, definitely hoppy finish. Some light malt, but mostly hops. Overall decent but not as fond of the hop flavor as with some others in this style. You know, this is one of those beers that kind of grows on me. It seems to get better after getting used to the flavor.

Blah, basically an overdramatic lager with a malty backbone. It has some nice red colour, but a huge anoying head.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 JahNoth (1039) - Rochester, New York, USA - OCT 29, 2005
Good gracious, what have we here? Slight bubbler, though it settled down. Big head, becomes rocky with no lace. Sweet aroma of lightly toasted marshmallows. Very cloudy and hazed out. Sweet caramel flavors are balanced by floral and earthy hops. DELICIOUS! Thanksto Brad.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 SpudClampDawg (1029) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - OCT 2, 2005
Brew HaHa - one of the better Ambers I’ve had in a while. Full, rich body is loaded with caramel malt (Maris Otter?) sweetness. Nicely bitter finish as well. Solid.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jtw (1026) - farmington, Michigan, USA - MAR 24, 2006
attractive light clear amber with a light beige foamy head. smells of pale malt, some caramel malt, and has a smell lightly reminiscent of the bottlecap (probably the yeast presence.) flavor profile that fits the bill of the aroma, and has a light hops tang at the finish. enjoyable, but that’s about it.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 KUEric (826) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 7, 2007
A very interesting amber Ale. It had some pear-fruity flavors. Definitely took the British approach to this ale. There was a tall billowing off-white head that really pretty to look at. Average at best.
