3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Alextricity (177) - Chesterfield Twp., Michigan, USA - MAR 20, 2013
Served on-tap in a 20oz glass at Buffalo Wild Wings. $4.75 during their Happy Hour. Not bad.
Appearance: Not bad at all. Has a typical pale ale color with a nice two/three finger head. Lacing lasts until the end of the glass. Above average.
Smell: Average. Smells like a pale ale with a nice, slightly spicy note with the malts and hops. Pleasant.
Taste/feel: I was expecting a rating of about 84 for this beer, but was surprised at the 76. This is my first beer from Arcadia, and I like it a lot. Being a pale ale, it’s not the most exciting beer in the world, but it’s insanely drinkable, has a very nice mouth feel, and the finish is clean. A refreshing English Pale Ale that I’d love to have again. One of the best that I’ve had of the style. Seems that I’m the minority, as a lot of people don’t care for it that much. Maybe I got a fresh keg? I dig it.

I am not a fan of Pale Ales, but I am a fan of this one. It has just enough bite to be pleasurable, but not something that will rot your tongue.

I’ve yet to be impressed by a beer I’ve had from this company. Next to nothing going on in the nose, with little to make up for it in texture or taste. Clean and delightfully bitter despite the lack of interesting features otherwise. A suitable beer to offer someone who doesn’t know or really care what they’re drinking.

An ok pale ale. As a hopped beer, this falls somewhere between what you’d expect from an American and an English pale ale. The hop choice is nice, subtle, and rich. Nice caramel backing. Lacks a defining characteristic that would elevate this above its competition.

Pours a mostly clear pale orange color with very little head. Aroma is almost all pale malt with a touch of caramel and grassy hops. Taste is fairly bland. Grassy and light caramel malt. Finish is short. Not much going on here but drinkable.

Pale malt and a bit of bread with some light floral hops in the background. Light medium body and some bitterness.

Bottle bought near Detroit. A fluffy off white head leaves sticky powdery lacing. Some rusty solids at the final pour. The beer is clear golden. Not a very exciting aroma. It is mostly pale malts and hops are scarce. First sip does bring out some hops. They are a bit herbal and floral. Bitterness is gentle but grows throughout and there is some astringency. This is not a top shelf Pale.

Copper color with a small head, though not much lacing to it. This is a decent ale, but i was expecting more (but it is well balanced).

Bottle to pint. Looks decent; copper with thin lacing. Smells a little bitter. Tastes way too European for a SW MI pale ale. Nowhere enough hops or body. Mouthfeel is average at best (thin). One of my least favorite ABC brews.

Great hoppy aroma but the flavors are only average. Very floral, caramel, and citrus peels.
