jeremyd365 (59), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Jun 1, 2008 I was greatly surprised and impressed by this one. I first heard about it last fall and I had looked it up and their own website made it sound like a weak, light beer so I avoided it for the longest time. However, I gave it a shot recently and was very glad I did. It reminded me of a strong, English pale, very similar to a Bass. It had some mild yet distict hops but also a solid malt finish. This may be one of my new favorites from Arcadia! dukefan (160), Aurora, Illinois, USA Apr 17, 2008 Drank at the brewery, 2006. While not a fan of English Pale Ales, this is a great representative of the style. Nice flavors of the ringwood yeast at hand. Far better than Fullers! jcwattsrugger (3721), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Apr 13, 2008 12oz bottle-pours a foamy off white head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is spicy/earthy hops, some malt, scotch. Taste is spicy/earthy hops, some malt, scotch. Deimos (77), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Mar 31, 2008 Too carbonated. Each bottle of the 6 pack foamed over and left 50 % head in the glass.
QC problem. Taste is ruined by the fizzy palate.
Not bad but I’ll pass until they institute a QA program biz82 (1297), austin, Texas, USA Mar 14, 2008 Way too carbonated for the style with a mountainous head. Hazy amber. Interesting floral aroma with pear and minerals.Sweet and malty with toffee, spicy hops and a distinct mineral note. Kind of reminds me of a Saison. Really pretty godd and definitely under rated.
