Smooth drinking, with tastes of citrus, yeast and grain. Overall a decent pale ale.

draft... murky dark gold, a bit of amber... light nose, a bit of yeast, with a touch of caramel, not a ton going on... tastes super light but surprisingly refreshing, citrus with a touch too much yeast again, much better than from the bottle

Green apple aroma comes out in the spicy ringwood. Pale, English. Nice enough, a bit weak. Color of honey-yellow. Tons of tiny bubbles. Glassy and clear. Not much head. Flavor is a decent citrus hop (grapefruit and blood orange). Other than the hop, not much. Nice, very yeasty. Fizzy and a little chunky on the palate. A solid, English style pale. Pleasant, if underwhelming.

(bottle 6/21/10). Dark copper color, with light cloudiness. Large off white head. Light sweet fruity green apple/acetaldehyde aroma. Same flavor, with burnt malt character. Avg duration. Lasting burnt malt and fruitiness in the finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

An orange colored beer with a large loose beige head. The aroma is malty and grassy, like a fruity lager. The flavor is thin and a little bitter, with citrus being most prevalent. Just not a solid brew.

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy burnt orange. Aroma of dust, citrus, pine. Very low aroma. Flavor of citrus, leaves, spice, dried fruit, plastic. Not horrible, but really not that great. Sampling one is plenty.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy copper orange. Toasty aroma, some buttery hops. Relatively true to style, drinkable, with an odd fishy seawater taste. Straightforward, probably a little faded with age. Herbal, non tangy lemon-lime flavors. Medium bodied. Unremarkable beer.

I’ve been an angler for years...and I have caught many fine beers in my time. This one, I was tempted to throw back. After harpooning a Blatz (the white whale of beers) it will wreck you for the little fry like this. If you are trolling on a hot summers day, and you pick one of these little carp up, go ahead and keep it (even if it’s not legal), but set your hook for a man’s beer: BLATZ....you’ll thank me in the morning, and these little annoying guppies will be less bothersome.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a copper amber with a nice fluffy biege head. Aroma of florals, malt and grain. Taste is on the sweet side. Nice balance of malt and hops. Nice.

On tap. Pours golden amber with a white head. It has a light sweet biscuit aroma. Flavor has lightly sweet butterscotch and biscuit, some light hop bitterness. It’s an okay beer.
