I had this on tap at Ashley’s, finally a good bartender suggestion...The beer pours a dark brown without a ton of retention...The aroma is pretty sweet, lots of cream and coffee, but how a baltic porter should be...The taste starts off sweet then heads down the coffee bitter path a little. Super easy to drink and a nice feel, a really solid beer.

On cask at GTMW 2010, description says it was conditioned with toasted coconut - Pours dark with a tan head. Sweet maltiness up front on the nose, with a decent amount of coconut. Flavor is kind of flat, with some of the bourbon barrel notes and a bit of coconut and caramel. Sweet with very light roast in the background. Smooth and bubbly in the mouth, but a bit thin. Not sure what to think of this one--just didn’t quite come together for me.

Cask at GTMW. Poured deep brown with a colossal tan head. The aroma was sweet with vanilla and black patent primarily.. quite restrained. The flavor was sweet as well, with darker fruity notes accenting chocolate and black patent maltage.. the flavors were subdued similar to the nose. Slick feel on the palate with a medium body.. OK feel and flow.. just not enough to this one.

BPW #35
Served on tap at Arcadia Brewing Company. Appearance is a coffee brown. The aromas and flavors are rich mild coffee with milk chocolate and some good fruit esters. This reminds me a bit of a grape tootsie pop. Very nice beer one of the best at the brewery this day.

Dan’s Bachelor Party Extended Weekend Rating #32 of 90. Tap at Arcadia, shared taster (hands down best taster offering I’ve ever had...a total of 9-3oz pours for $7.99). Pours dark brown with ruby edges (becoming my favorite appearance), very nice and smooth taste, some bourbon/scotch hints, roasted malt, minimal dark fruit component. This was very nice! If it’s still there make sure to try. One of their better offerings at the time.

the aroma is richly malty with a thick rich brown head. The color is a dark brown with crimson hue. The flavor is full and roasty with chocolate hints and mild smokiness. This brew has a rich mouthfeel with a dry roasty finish.
