Relatively hefty for a beer like this - you can actually tell itís a wheat beer and not some indistinct ale, better than Dark Horseís raspberry. Cloudy. Aroma nd tast of raspberry. On tap at Cascarelliís in Homer, MI, a great little pizza and beer place.

2004 MBG Fest. Pours a light copper tinged white/pink with some foamy white head. Smells sweet and lightly yeasty. Lots of fructose in there (rasberries are used to brew this one). True to the aroma, itís got quite the impressive amount of raspberries. Very apparent throughout the beer. Plenty of sweet malt, medium bodied with a light bitterness coming from the hops towards the finish. Plenty of raspberry lingers on the finish. Good balance of sweet/tart but just not much else going on here besides the raspberry flavor. Body is lightly chewy with the wheat noticeable. As far as raspberry wheats go, this one is the best example Iíve had (not saying much). Donít know why they call it a wit, didnt find any belgian wit characteristics.

Bottled and sampled in my New Belguim Worthy glassware: Pours a reddish amber hue with a fading fizzy head, lots of floaties (beware), and little lace. The aroma has notes of raspberry syrup, floral hops, bready malts, and a hint of wheat. The taste starts fruity as expected but is neither over-the-top or syrupy as I was fearing, quite nice and refreshing honestly. I get a nice dose of bitters on the finish and an undertone of wheatbread. There is NO notice of a wit however, no spice detected. The feel is fizzy and chalky, okay. A different beer for sure, unique and much better than the Kuhnhenn Tangerine Wit I had a few weekends ago. Still donít expect to much from this beer. (This bottle is also available in the Summer Sampler in Indiana, I got it as a single)

Cloudy golden with pinkish hues. nice raspberry aroma. nice raspberry flavor, not overbearingly sweet and syrupy, with some wheat, typical wit spiciness is not readily apparent, but still a refreshing summertime beer.

Bottle: Okay, not off to a good start when I open the bottle and the beer shoots all over the wall and on my keyboard. Aroma is rasberry with some light wheat characteristics. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a small slightly off-white head and a decent amount of sediment. Rasberry syrup from start to finish with maybe the slightest bit of hops in the finish. Donít get any wheat characteristics in the flavor. A nice refreshing thirst quencher and somewhat tastey.

bottle - Pours a ridiculously huge head. I was able to keep from losing any beer as the bottle didnít overflow on me like some experienced, but it took several stages to finish pouring this beer. Itís pink with a mess of small yeast floaters. The head leaves some lacing. The aroma is very much of raspberry with some yeast in there as well. The flavor is dominated by raspberry. Itís sweet with some mild hops in there that comes through more in the finish. Itís light and refreshing, but avoids being watery, unlike a couple other raspberry wheats beers Iíve had recently. Itís far from my favorite style, but really this brew is a pretty good fruit beer.

Pours amber with off white head. Aroma very muted not much berry at all, just some light yeasty wheat. Very sweet from front to back. Very exract like. Lots of residuel sugar. Not much wit character.

OK beer. Had it at Shakespeareís Pub in Kalamazoo, MI. Had a pint and it was too much though. It was a beer that had good flavor but wasnít the greatest. Good berry flavor, good wheat flavor. Pink beer. Not my favorite.
