bubslang (436), Kentwood, Michigan, USA Jul 5, 2005 Cloudy golden with pinkish hues. nice raspberry aroma. nice raspberry flavor, not overbearingly sweet and syrupy, with some wheat, typical wit spiciness is not readily apparent, but still a refreshing summertime beer.
patrick767 (1547), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 7, 2007 bottle - Pours a ridiculously huge head. I was able to keep from losing any beer as the bottle didn’t overflow on me like some experienced, but it took several stages to finish pouring this beer. It’s pink with a mess of small yeast floaters. The head leaves some lacing. The aroma is very much of raspberry with some yeast in there as well. The flavor is dominated by raspberry. It’s sweet with some mild hops in there that comes through more in the finish. It’s light and refreshing, but avoids being watery, unlike a couple other raspberry wheats beers I’ve had recently. It’s far from my favorite style, but really this brew is a pretty good fruit beer. Sickboy282 (1083), San Diego, California, USA Dec 15, 2006 Poursa cloudy amber hue with a frothy white head. Aromas of wheat/dough, cheese, bread. Light bodied with a light btterness and a mild spice. Flavors of copper with a lingering finish RAYBOY01 (1654), Chicago, Illinois, USA Feb 23, 2006 Just OK fruit beer. The raspberry flavor was somewhat syrupy...not very natural. The whole thing seemed a bit cloying, but not offensively so. Some grassy wheat aspects noticed as well. Not horrible, but nothing I’d repeat. jsquire (1910), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Jan 30, 2006 Murky copper color with disconcerting floaties in it. This bottle was very carbonated. It was all I could do to pour it into the glass, and while my back was turned the foam extruded out of the top of the bottle. The aroma didn’t bother me too much. It was not as artificial as most, and it was like berry scented cotton candy. This is a very sweet beer, with lots of white sugar, and a berry flavor like the syrup that they use to make snow cones. The over-carbonation was distracting on the tongue. A little bit of this goes a long way. jaymobrown (1304), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 19, 2006 Chunks floating around. Another beer that is very fizzy. But an overly forced fizzy like a pop. Don’t like. Sweet sugar cookie pie crust. Thin mouthfeel; nothing interesting.
