Dark reddish brown pour with a beige head. Aroma is dark fruit, bourbon, roasted malt. Taste is dark fruit, bourbon, little vanilla, oaky dryness, a little hot still. Very tasty. At over $7 a bottle, it is worth the price. So-so lacing.

Rating 1500!! 12oz bottle from Secret Santa. Pours a dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate, molasses, graham cracker, dark fruits, and mild bourbon. Taste has a very dry oak and stinging bourbon alcohol presence, dark bitter bakers chocolate which becomes more rich on the finish with some light coffee. Decent.

Awesome barrel aged porter. Perfectly balanced so it is not too hoppy or malty. Very strong alcohol content but you don't taste it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours clear mahogany, small tan head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is bourbon, wood, chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, lots and lots of woodiness and tannic notes, vanilla and bourbon, as well as roasted malts and cocoa. Medium body, hot. A bit too woody for my taste - maybe less time in barrels next time??

Dark brown pour with a one finger, soapy to creamy tan head. Aroma is boozy bourbon, vanilla, sharp doughy yeast, dark caramel, overripe citrus, a hint of green wood and roast. Flavor is caramel, raw active yeast, doughy yeast, toast, alcohol, light roast, pine, under ripe tree fruit, toast, vanilla, ripe apple, alcohol and light buttery toffee. Medium to heavy body, creamy to oily entry, oily to slick middle, sharp, medium carbonation, slick, goopy, creamy finish.

This beer pours a very, very dark brown with a very small light tan head. The aroma blends molasses, bourbon, dark chocolate, caramel malts, roasted malts, and a hint of oak; the taste fuses a mild sweetness, slight bitterness, mild booziness, and a mild umami with the flavor of the oak barrels coming through quite strongly. The aftertaste has a boozy flavor mixed with some light malt bitterness, and the rest of the palate fuses an oily texture, flat carbonation, and a medium-full body.

Pours out a flat black color with a dense light tan head of foam. Aroma has a tart cherry smell up front. I am also getting vanilla, some oak and bourbon/booze. I could have used a more complex aroma, the cherry smell dominates everything. Flavor was disappointing. Some of the cherry from the scent, a weird stainless steel flavor, feint traces of oak and bourbon with a slightly Peppery finish. Palate is watery and thin. I honestly did not like this one. Overpriced and overrated beer from a so so brewery. Stay away from this if you have not tried it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown/black with a great light chocolate head. Aroma is bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, dates, fig. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, complex on the palate with a slightly boozy finish. Taste is vanilla cake, bourbon, chocolate, prunes, brandy. Pretty darn tasty

Bottle. Some bourbon in the aroma, but it becomes mostly alcohol (cheap vodka) as it warms. Not much of a full porter taste here. I don’t get any big, yummy chocolate or malty tastes. Some alcohol, light sweetness; the porter taste is receding far in the background. Medium bodied and a bit thin, very lightly carbonated.
