Pours a murky dark brown with no head . Aroma of bourbon hits you right off. Coffee and hint of chocolate in the background. Little hint of plum, caramel. Boozy, mildly sweet, moderately bitter. Full body with soft carbonation. Longy, boozy finish. Pretty good BA porter

Thanks steimie! 12 oz bottle into a tulip, vintage unknown but Iím pretty sure itís freshish. Pours a pitch black with a finger of khaki foam. Nice lacing and retention. Nose is an awesome mix of dusty bakers chocolate, roasted malts, oak, and vanilla with just a bit of spice. Really just a great blend of sweet and roasty with a mild but noticeable bourbon presence. Taste is similar. Milk chocolate segways into oak and sweet vanilla. Lingering wood and light roasty bitterness. 12% is incredibly well hidden behind a thin to medium mouth feel that feels like a porter but has some creaminess to it. One of the best BA porters Iíve tried. Just such a great bourbon integration. Really impressive beer.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, bourbon, oak, chocolate, some light vanilla, and hints of dough and dark fruits. Flavor the same with a nice blend. Smooth to thicker texture. A solid barrel aged beer, but maybe just a little too sweet for my preference.

Bottle from a trade with barak316. Pours dark cola brown with tan head. Aromas of bourbon, chocolate, vanilla and oak. Similar flavors with some booziness. Medium to full body with minimal carbonation. Thanks Bill

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled 7/15/2013. Pours fairly pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big chocolate, cocoa, raisin, caramel, toast, toffee, dark bread, vanilla, bourbon, oak, clove, coconut, and roasted/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, coffee, raisin, vanilla, toast, caramel, toffee, bourbon, oak, clove, dark bread, light coconut, and roasted/oak earthiness. Light earthy/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, coffee, vanilla, raisin, toast, toffee, caramel, dark bread, bourbon, oak, clove, and roasted/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible depth, complexity, and balance of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel flavors; with and awesome malt/barrel balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a moderately creamy and lightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding barrel aged porter! All around awesome depth and complexity of dark/roasted malt and bourbon barrel flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

On tap at Brunzies. Great nose; oak, vanilla, chocolate, soy. Rich and luscious. Dark black opaque with thin creamy tan head. Heavy body with medium-light carbonation. Starts sweet and rich with oak, vanilla, bourbon, and chocolate. Nice porter. Finish is sweet with light bitterness and alcoholic warming.

Aroma is dry malts, a hint of roast and barrel aging/fruit, very English. The flavor is dark malts, barrel aging/fruit, caramel and a dry/tangy/alcoholic finish.

Dark brown color with a decently foamy off-white head. Smells and tastes strongly like bourbon. Has a full-bodied feel and goes down pretty smooth. A nice drink to warm you up, but it is definitely strong.
