3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Lucky to score some of this at Aracadia’s brew pub while in MI recently. Nice and smooth, heavy and dark. Roasty, malty, thick, warm (high ABV). Love it.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle from Bottle & Cans in Chicago. Pours a very dark brown color with a small tannish head. Some spots of lace. Aroma has of vanilla, oak, roast, dark chocolate, bourbon and some caramel. Taste is of sweet vanilla, bakers chocolate, roast, bourbon, coffee and some dry oak. Full bodied. Sweetly dry and alcoholly. Lotta flavors and nice complexity. Has some "Black Note" similarity - whomever was copying who, lovely beers in each direction.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of Kermis. Poured a deep mahogany with a round tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and creamy caramel. The flavour is strong bitter with a liqourice creamy chocolate palate. A super beer but the alcohol and liqourice tends to dominate. Needs to age a little I think.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared. Pours near black with a small tan head. Aroma of big bourbon, vanilla, fudge, toffee, milk chocolate, molasses. Flavour is heavy sweet and over moderate bitter, overripe dark fruits coming out in the palete and unfortunately alcohol in the finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation. A great beer, but really too fresh.

Bottle. Aroma is chocolate, bourbon, oak, and toast. Appearance is pitch black with a thin, light tan head. Good lacing. Taste is burnt toast, booze, oak, chocolate, and raisins. Very full body with a low carbonation level. Overall a very rich, interesting beer.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
The is a amazingly complex brew that leaves this wonderful taste in your mouth a half hour after you have drank it. Due to the high abv its warming all the way down. I sipped on it for around an hour. They have two more bottles of this at the beer shop and i will be going in and grabbing them both. This beer will get better and better with age they are going in my beer cellar.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, pours a pitch black. Aroma of bourbon noticeable immediately upon cracking open. Strong hints of chocolate as well. Taste is chocolate, bourbon, dark roasted malts. Insanely smooth and easy to drink given the high abv. Nicely done.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Solid. There's some chocolate notes going on here. Almost a stout. Not overly roasty. Perhaps just a bit too much bourbon infusion. B+
