could just about be my favorite beer of all time. aroma is all bourbon, hint of chocolate or coffee but overwhelmingly bourbon. But that is the point, right? 22 months on bourbon barrels is supposed to do that! My favorite bourbon porter/stout. Milky, smooth, rich, chocolate, coffee, vanilla, BOURBON. damn fine brew.

Deep vdark color and small head. Giggity. Bourbon is a perfect balance. Not bad at all. Porter is rich. Not thick but not light.

12oz bottle shared by Dan P. Poured a dark brown/almost black color with a small foamy tan head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, caramel, and some roasted malts. Taste of roasted malt, caramel, boozy bourbon, dry oak, and earthy hops.

Dark reddish brown pour with a beige head. Aroma is dark fruit, bourbon, roasted malt. Taste is dark fruit, bourbon, little vanilla, oaky dryness, a little hot still. Very tasty. At over $7 a bottle, it is worth the price. So-so lacing.

Rating 1500!! 12oz bottle from Secret Santa. Pours a dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate, molasses, graham cracker, dark fruits, and mild bourbon. Taste has a very dry oak and stinging bourbon alcohol presence, dark bitter bakers chocolate which becomes more rich on the finish with some light coffee. Decent.

Awesome barrel aged porter. Perfectly balanced so it is not too hoppy or malty. Very strong alcohol content but you don't taste it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours clear mahogany, small tan head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is bourbon, wood, chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla. Flavor is light sweet, medium bitter, lots and lots of woodiness and tannic notes, vanilla and bourbon, as well as roasted malts and cocoa. Medium body, hot. A bit too woody for my taste - maybe less time in barrels next time??
