12oz bottle: pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Has a sweet toasty dark caramel and chocolate nose with notes of vanilla bourbon. Starts with pretty good fullness and sweet dark malts with good bourbon complexity and dark chocolate before a drier bittersweet finish. Well-balanced and dangerously drinkable.

12 oz red waxed bottle poured into a snifter. Bottle dated 9/16/13. Picked some up during RBSG 2014 at TWCP in Clayton, MO. Black with a finger of light tan head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, warm booze, subtle dark fruit. Tastes of big bourbon, dark fruit, oak. Medium body with a dry and warm finish. Low carbonation. So much bourbon/barrel and not enough supporting flavors to balance it out for me. A sipper for sure.

"2012 me thinks. Like the stout, too expensive and too thin, though this one was a little more extreme. 12% abv comes through a little too much when the body isnít big. Still has the graham cracker barrel character, with some nice chocolate and vanilla notes, so itís tasty enough...but the beer canít stand up to the barrel."

Aroma of bourbon barrel, chocolate, and molasses. Similar flavors which are dominated by bourbon. Tastes super smooth and silky with a boozy, carbonated finish. Very nice beer.

12 oz bottle from 2011 red wax. Pours dark brown to black in color with a medium sized tan head. The aroma and flavor had big bourbon notes, chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, vanilla, wood, boozy at times, big certainly, definitely worth trying.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours a dark amber with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong bourbon, wood, roast, oak. Medium mouthfeel with sweet roasted malt, dark chocolate, bourbon, wood, and nice roast finish. Very good.
