4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very good, dark amber slightly cloudy as if it had a little milk, frothy head and some lacing, plenty of content with roasted malts, fruits like banabas and apricots, enough hops and nice finish

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a nice tea like color with an almost creamy, light tan head. The nose is boozy malt with notes of dark fruit, caramel, and bread. This beer is thick and boozy on the tongue. Brash with some bitterness, but lots of raisin and dark fruit that more than offsets it. This beer is a bit of a mess. Too much sweetness, boozy fruit, and bitterness just thrown together. No roundness or blending of flavors. All of this compounded by a thick, cloying body. I hope this one ages well.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
2008 vintage. Pours a murky brown nose and taste is of dark fruit faded hops and toasted malts. I believe this beer is a bit past it’s prime.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber Vintage 2008 pours a dark amber brown with a very thin khaki head. Aroma has an all encompassing booziness with chalky dark fruits, raisin, brown sugar, figs, and dates. Texture is really thick and syrupy, sweet and roasted malts work really nice here, flavors become more cohesive as it warms. Pretty decent, not as much alcohol in the flavor as I expected.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pulled this one out of the cellar. Probably the Winter 2010 vintage. Served in a snifter.
Pours a very hazy moderate brown collar with a thin collar. A few bubbles on the sides of the glass forming a very thin collar. The nose brings a bit of caramel and toffee plus some light bread and malt sweetness. Flavor has some caramel and light cherry plus brown-sugar sweetness. Medium body with low carbonation and a pleasing sweetness in the finish. Pretty good overall.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at a BA/RB "beer camping" excursion in the Oregon Cascade foothills in June 2011. Colour... caramel with no head. Nose... smoky with a burnt sugar note. Palate... tangy up front with a hoppy character followed by dried stone fruits and a bitter hint on the back of the palate.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle 2010: pours brown with no head to speak of, aroma of caramel, flavor is caramel with a lot of sweetness, alcohol content evident, too much sweetness for balance, hard to finish this one.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft on tap at Marion Street (Oak Park, IL). Pours a nice deeper murky amber brown hue, a moderate frothy tannish head dies to a thick ring clinger, laces ok. Aromas are sweet caramel, toffee, a touch of oxidation, and vinous fruits. Sweet roasty nuts, brown sugar, a touch of grass. Initial is fuller bodied preaching sweet malts, toffee and caramel with touches of bread, toast, and biscuits. Some light touches of dark fruit, raisins and oranges. Sticky and sweet on the nose, some vanilla, brown sugar, touches of yeast spice with bigger vanilla, toffee sweet malts. Into the finish sweet and sticky, touches of toast and soap change it a bit. Sweet, sticky, lingering with touches of light heated ABV and oranges, sweet malts, and spice. Pretty nice winter beer, but in the summer a little harder to palate. Nice beer, good body and flavors
