3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This poured a deep, nearly black mahogany with a foamy cocoa head. It has a rich, (perhaps too) sweet aroma of milk chocolate, molasses, cold coffee, and sweet, lightly roasted malts. Smooth. A touch of licorice and a mild nutty bitterness are additions to the aroma. Good breakfast drink.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle from Bailey’s Chocolate Bar. When in Rome, right? Pours a dark, opaque brown color with a small tan head that eventually leaves just a ring. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, toasted oats, and earth. Flavor of bitter dark chocolate, cocoa beans, espresso, coffee grounds, roasted malts, and char. Medium-bodied, with mild carbonation and a seriously roasty mouthfeel. All bitterness seems to come from the dark roast and chocolate. Leans more heavily toward coffee than chocolate, and what chocolate is there is so freaking dark and bitter. If it were milder chocolate I would have liked it more because the mouthfeel was so smooth and nice otherwise.
