Jun 4, 2008 Something in the aroma I can’t pinpoint. Some mix with the pine and nutty, toasted malt. It’s not a great undefined flavor. Almost a little sour.

Jun 4, 2008 Courtesy of CigarCityBrew. Pours deep clear gold with off white head. The aroma is a tropical mixture of grapefruit, sweet tangelo, mango and layer of sweet malts. Smells a bit different to me for the style with a sort of tropical influence but it works. The taste must have lots of late addition hops due to the sweet hop flavor over the level of hop bitterness as noticed in the nose. I also get some mild alcohol notes going along with sweet sweet maltiness.

May 28, 2008 Bottle (12oz). Shared by blankboy. Cloudy bright orange, solid frothy white head. Acidic floral and citrus hop and juicy malt aroma, marigold dust bitterness. Taste follows, more floral pungency. Average body, nice astringency and mild acidity, long floral bitter finish - pretty frickin’ nice.

May 27, 2008 Bottle. Poured a deep orange amber body with thin head - looked beautiful in my tuilp. Aroma is grapefruit and some strong alcohol which is the same feeling I had with the taste. Very rough.

May 26, 2008 Decent caramel malts, with a bit of citrus hop backing it up. Pours a clear dark amber, with a thin white cap of head. Flavor starts off with caramel sweetness, just a hint of hop bitterness in the end. This is definitely more on the sweet side then I prefer my IIPA’s, but it’s still a very drinkable beer, with no alcohol noticeable in the finish.

May 23, 2008 Acquired via trade from polomagnifico...Thanks again!!! Sorry, but I’m not sure if you and I are drinking the same beer?!?!? This is an incredible DIPA...fragrant, flavorful, and balanced. Traditional vibrant sunset-colored brew with flashes of red, orange, and yellow in the body. Tight dusty-white head left incredible ringlets around the inside of the glass. Fragrance was a delightful combination of sweet and savory; caramel/toffee followed up with a citrus & spice punch. Taste a delicate balance of sour and sweet. Would place this in the same class as GI Imperial IPA, Devil Dancer and, what the hell, Dreadnaught. World Class.

May 23, 2008 12oz bottle @Vero Beach Throwdown-poursa dissipating white head and amber color. Aroma is light hops-citrus/lemon/pine, some/faint light malt. Taste is light hops- citrus/lemon/pine, some/faint light malt, some alcohol. OK carbonation. Thanks Hopscotch for sharing.
