Taste was nice and fruity. I had hopslam on tap after this and hopslam blew it out of the water. But don’t let that stop you from trying it.

Spicy piney hops in the nose, and a slight sourness. Real tangy hops on the tongue, mostly Amarillo ctirusy stuff. A bit of an astringent quality, too. Balances, albeit a bit thick and syrupy. mgumby10 (1850), Jupiter, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2008 Courtesy hopscotch. Pours a cloudy light amber color with a small off white head. Smells of sweet hops, a little earth, and a decent malt presence as well. The flavor comes back at you with pretty monster hops, with the malts hanging on to try to balance it out somewhat. Very hoppy though. Good thing. Alot of grapefruit citrus and hop bitternessin the finish. Solid double IPA. Pretty tasty stuff. Hudspart (371), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA

Like Two Hearted on HGH rather than a SoCal DIPA clone, this is unbelievably fresh. A strongly floral nose is mighty promising, but this thing really punches you in the face with a deep, dank wet hop flavor. Exceedingly tasty and dangerously drinkable, don’t take it as a criticism if I say this is NOT particularly complex or balanced - it’s powerfully insistent, with a lovely character. Really, really good. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 12, 2008 Pours a brownish amber with a decent sized crème head that falls to nothing fairly soon. Nose is sticky piney hops. Smells thick like syrup. Flavor is thick, acidic, and oddly fruity hops. The fruit quickly goes away and you are left with a full and robust tone. Feel is smooth. Nice carbonation. This is as drinkable as any other DIPA I’ve had before. Extremely well balanced.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Updated: Feb 11, 2008Draft: Poured a clear orange/copper color with a sizeable white head. Strong, hoppy-ass aroma that pretty much drowned out anything else. Some slight citrus notes were present but they were bullied out by this hop-bomb. Flavor follows to a "T" and ultimately this could be one of the most intense IIPA’s that I’ve had. Great stuff.
