Nice and hoppy. Taste is a little off but it’s a good brew. I’d have again but it’s nothing specila blklab2007 (943), Connecticut, USA Mar 11, 2009 bottle I am guessing is a year old from the ratings here poured a orange amber color with a thin off white head. aroma has caramel sweetness, dank hops, and faint dying citrus. mouth feel is a nice medium and the carbonation just enough. flavor leans to the malted side but there is still a stiff resinous hops punch. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 10, 2009 Pours turbid dull orange with 2-finger off-white white head and sticky lacing. Nose is resiny hops, caramel malt, pineapple, canteloupe, tangerine, black pepper. Tastes bready caramel malty, with resiny hops, very piney, tangerine, pineapple, white pepper (nose is black, taste is white)....Very Ruination-like in flavor. Rich, complex palate, but needs a bit more malt to match this gargantuan hop load. Still, a beer I would gladly drink any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. If it was another Steeler Super Bowl Sunday, I’d gladly drink 12 bottles of this. Get ya some, and do it now, and let’s all give these guys more respect, because they certainly deserve it! Out of whack my ass. andersand (271), Malmö, Sweden Mar 6, 2009 Updated: Mar 9, 2009Sweet and perfume smelling, OK looking with a nice hazy amber color and a small, bubbly head. Taste starts out nice and sticky with typical caramell character but ends on a rather harsh unpleasant perfumey hop note alongside some alcohol taste. OK but that’s it. JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 1, 2009 Golden color with a very sweet aroma of citrus and floral hops. Flavor starts with some light hops and turns sugar bomb. Whoa - out of whack for a DIPA for sure! rudolf (1734), Buffalo, New York, USA Feb 9, 2009 Bottle, shared w. Tim & Jacob. Thanks Tim! Clear rich gold, white head. Nose is super piney, minty w. candied sugar. Slightly vegetal, some orange peel. Flavor is resin, rich orange fruitiness. Long orange sweet finish. Could be drier, but nice.
