zach8270 (2053), Henrietta, New York, USA Feb 5, 2009 (bottle - 12 oz) Cloudy orange in color with a creamy looking off-white head. Aroma is all citrus and floral hops. Not much else besides some grapefruit. The flavor doesn’t have nearly as much hops as I thought it would from the aroma. Light and bitter floral hops at the beginning but fades quickly to citrus and alcohol in the middle. Finishes warm and slightly bitter. I’m slightly confused by this. jgentgesdo (564), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Feb 2, 2009 Pours cloudy brownish/golden with a small tan head. Nose is mostly grapefruit and evergreen hops with a slightly malty tinge. Bitter, malty beginning segues into strong citrus and floral hops notes, long bitter finish. Mouthfeel is clean, a little watery, long hops aftertaste. It’s good Miksu (2194), Jyväskylä, Finland Feb 1, 2009 0.355 l bottle at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy orange color. Hop aroma with lemon, mango and apricot, fair amount of toffeish maltiness in aroma too. Bittersweet flavor with loads of lemony, grapefruity, mangoish and black curranty hops as well as chewy toffeish maltiness. Tasty but could be less chewy and more drinkable. TeamTrappist (368), jericho, New York, USA Jan 22, 2009 Tap at barcade. Poured a cloudy. Amber super pony and grapefruit. And g rassy nose flavor is dominated by. The grapefruit .but as hippy. As the front is the backend is on the sweet side totally lacking bitterness. Still good though
blipp (1632), Newark, New Jersey, USA Jan 22, 2009 Given the dates of the first ratings of this beer, I’m guessing my bottle is at least a year old. Pours orange with an off white head. Aroma is grapefruits and floral hops. Age has made this very well balanced, with juicy sweet citrus, caramel malt, and a touch of hoppy bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable, though it’s no longer the hop bomb that I’m sure it was when it was fresh. Still a very good beer. DragonsHead (137), Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 20, 2009 Thanx alot rob. This was a free case from galli distributing. my holiday partywas lame. this made it better. Nice big hop flavor. with a huge aftertaste.... ruggedman (613), Portland, Maine, USA Jan 10, 2009 On tap at Novare Res. Arcadia Ales seems to me like a dark/malty beer specialist. This beer really drove the point home. The malt profile still dominated this I2PA. Needs more hops to be in this style. pjweaver (133), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2009 Tulip glass from bottle. Pours a murky amber, with a pure white fluff of a head. Pine, orange, grapefruit, some floral aroma. Orange and citrus flavor that hits and dies quickly, crisp and refreshing. Foamy biting mouthfeel, with no real residual aftertaste.
