Commercial Description:
Anniversaries are meant to be celebrated, and as we looked back on 11 years of “balance in beer,” we decided to take a walk on the wild side with this year’s Anniversary Ale. Our brewers were finally turned loose to craft a beer that’s focused on the hops, and the result is Hop Rocket… Arcadia’s 11th Anniversary Ale.

Hop Rocket is a veritable constellation of hops… including some varieties that we haven’t used in other beers, and it’s delivered by the same booster of worldclass malt that our loyal fans have come to know and love with all Arcadia Ales. We appreciate the opportunity to share with you this “launch” of our 12th years, and we hope you’ll enjoy the ride with Arcadia Hop Rocket!

Pours a hazy orange caramel with a medium beige head. Aroma of bubble gum, caramel, malt, floral hops and orange citrus. Taste of hoppy caramel malts, light pine, grapefruit, oranges and hard fruity candy. Excellent.

12 oz bottle pours a cloudy golden orange with a large foamy/bubbly/creamy off white head that left a bunch of sticky lacing down the side of the glass. Aroma was a wonderful mix of pink grapefruit, pine, floral hop notes, malty sweetness, caramel and lots of orange. Actually I spend more time with this the orange hard candy notes are really coming across in the nose. Flavor of a bunch of hoppy goodness. Pine, orange, grapefruit, very resinous, lots of sweet caramel malts, some cereal grains, light alcohol present especially as it warms up a bit. Hop bitterness is surely there, but the malt sweetness of this hop bomb helps it from being too over the top bitter.

12 oz bottle. Pours orange amber with some floating debris and a stable off-white head. Aroma very citrusy hops with a touch of spiciness and a definite sweetness, but a little weak overall. Flavor is nice and hoppy citrus with a bit of sweetness. Nice bitterness, but a bit of alcohol pokes through in the flavor. Bitter, dry finish with some biscuit flavors. A pretty nice, simple IIPA.

GABF 2008. Clear bright golden colour, resinous aroma with detectable sweet malts. Palate is a little on the thin side for a beer this size, but the hop quotient is there with lots of grapefruit and resin.

GABF 2008 poured a clear gold with a small lingering white head. Aromas of pine, earthiness, orange, grapefruit and light straw. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a lightly dry fin ish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, pine and grapefruit rind with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Bottled@Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet fruits, peach, flowery and wooden hops along with some rather grassy notes. Flavour is much the same. Mild nectary notes in the finish. Pleasant.
