Pours a orangey gold with a slight but persistant head. This one was very close to being really nicely balanced. Slightly bitter from the hopping, the malts hang in there and hold there own only to tire and give way to the hoppiness. I enjoyed this one and would have it again. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Aroma, bright floral notes, with some citrus and pine to round out. Flavor, lightly sweet pale malts, lots of floral hops, some juicy citrus notes, very floral on the finish, a mellow balanced bitterness on the end. Medium bodied, very soft carbonation. Quite tasty. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 8, 2009 This one poured a lighter ruby red color with a smaller off white head. Aroma was pungant and spicey hops, a bit citrusy as well. Flavor was also dank spical herbal hops, a bit piney and strange fruit flavors as well. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Tasted 2/17/08. 12oz bottle. Filtered with a golden amber hue. Spotty white head. Big bright hop nose. Tart grassy citrus grapefruit pepper and berries. Quite a complex nose. Full bodied and bitter. Big hops and big alcohol. Good rubbery alcohol. Sticky finish and a touch musty. Coating and bitter. Mild malt backbone. Tart and sour with a touch sweetness. The sweetness ebbs as the beer warms. Nice melding and a rolling palate. Honey herbal hops. Wonderful complex hop palate. Delicious! decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 20, 2008 Courtesy of hopscotch. A golden orange pour with slightly off white head. A very light hop aroma and malt comes through pretty hard. Solid citrus hop profile but the malt seems to win out. Smooth even palate and carbonation. A very fine beer that is just a tad lite on the hops that would push it over the top. thanks Eric Ibrew2or3 (2848), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2008 Courtesy of CigarCityBrew. Pours deep clear gold with off white head. The aroma is a tropical mixture of grapefruit, sweet tangelo, mango and layer of sweet malts. Smells a bit different to me for the style with a sort of tropical influence but it works. The taste must have lots of late addition hops due to the sweet hop flavor over the level of hop bitterness as noticed in the nose. I also get some mild alcohol notes going along with sweet sweet maltiness. JCB (1799), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Like Two Hearted on HGH rather than a SoCal DIPA clone, this is unbelievably fresh. A strongly floral nose is mighty promising, but this thing really punches you in the face with a deep, dank wet hop flavor. Exceedingly tasty and dangerously drinkable, don’t take it as a criticism if I say this is NOT particularly complex or balanced - it’s powerfully insistent, with a lovely character. Really, really good.
