4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark hazy copper-bronze. Good sized off-white rocky head, leaves nice lace. Aroma is strange, a bit metallic. I picked up notes of kafir limes, lemon, grapefruit, and bitter orange, nuts, spruce/juniper, coriander, pepper, bitter herbs, and lots of chemically alcohol. Taste, however, was very good, with a big hit of sprucy hops, flowers, grapefruit and pepper over a solid background of toasted caramelly malt, buttery toffee, espresso and bready yeast. Fresh on the palate, very dry with a hefty bitter finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Amber color out of the bomber with a sweet citrus hop nose and a lasting thin, off white head. It has the hop tastes that you would expect from an IIPA. Orange juice, apple sauce with some bready malts in front. Seems a little thin in the middle, but there is a long, strong grapefruit rind finish. Not as hoppy as some, but a very tastey hop head beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark amber pour with a big creamy white head. Nice balanced hop aroma. Flavor is smooth and mellow. Not as harsh as I expected but very nice.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Some breweries shouldnít make IIPA...and I think arcadia may qualify. Pour was a swampy amber with a light brown head. Aroma was roasted malt and a bit of dirty hops. Flavor was an uninspiring interplay between weak hops and stinky sweet malts. Mouthfeel was siticky and oily.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a bomber. The body was dark copper colored with a light khaki colored head. The aroma was caramel with toast. There was also some pecans and sweet syrup. The taste was citrus with grapefruit. There was also some nice toast and some almonds. A pretty good IIPA, but woudl be light for some people.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2007 i really disliked the finish on this. it was a lasting tackiness. the taste was watered down generally. not much of an IIPA. the smell was decent though, as well as the appearance. rerate: some weird candyish caramel in the aroma. taste is indeed watered down and perhaps a bit lagerish. no alcohol. hops arenít super bitter, theyíre in fact pretty fresh. so itís a mixed bag. extremely drinkable for the abv, perhaps owing to the wateriness.... itís definitely above average at best.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This has a pretty big pine hop nose. Color is hazy copper. Flavor is weird, not as bitter as you think and tastes dirty.

3.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours copper/deep orange with a nice off white head. Aroma is hoppy and very nice. Taste is good but just a bit too tangy for me.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very large dense head of light tan bubbles. Litle rocky on top. Light carbonation. Very good head retention. Nice hoppy aroma loaded with grapefruit and pine. Succulent with a hint of roastyness buried in there. Nice bright dark orange. Slick mouthfeel that seems slightly flat but canít be because of all of the carbonation. Little on the sweet side. Decent hops presence but not as much as in the aroma. Some honey and bitter grapefruit. Little puckering. Bit of dry roastyness at the finish. Alcohol is hidden very well. A pretty good IIPA. Maybe need to age a little bit longer.
