COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This remarkably balanced brew has a deep amber hue with a generous white head. Hopmouth showcases a rich, toasty flavor and sweet caramel notes because of the high-quality Maris Otter malt used. The hops are up front in the aroma, reminiscent of citrus and pine, while the resin-like flavors linger well after the last sip.

Beautiful, deep color with good head. Smell is way different than I expected - super sweet, caramel, some malt, a little hops... more like a Belgian ale. Palate is a little thin -- and taste is like a hybrid between a Belgian and an IPA. A little odd.. not one of my favorites, but I’ll drink it.

Citrus and pine. Sweet caramel notes. Oily head. Nice read color. Interesting flavor. Bitter in a oily way.

Nice DIPA from the brewery that first got me into craft brews. While mild compared to some NW doubles, the flavor is nice and clean, even some caramel malts slip through the dense hops. A bit flat on the finish, but good all around.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 1/29/2015. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep ruby red/copper color with a 2 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toffee, toast, floral, grass, and floral/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toffee, toast, floral, grass, and floral/toasted earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon/orange zest, caramel, toffee, toast, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and fairly crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent malty DIPA style! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

A very tasty double IPA. Just the right amount of hops flavor without being overpowering. Great balance.

I like it; just don't love it. Very well balanced for a DIPA; only problem is that I like hop bombs for DIPAs. Very fragrant but the nose is really floral. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught. Dark amber with small foamy beige head, floral hops aroma, medium carbonation, strong hops taste, long finish with hops aftertaste. Quite strong and sharp.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Hazy dark amber brown color, white head cover, streaks of lace. Nice malt aroma. Taste is strong dark caramel malt that becomes stronger and adds hops and alcohol on the swallow, hanging tough for a long time. Big, almost too much to relax and enjoy.

Pours an amber color with a nice head. Aroma has some hops up front with some citrus and pine. There is citrus up front like grapefruit and melon but there is also some hop bitterness on the backend. Not a heavy DIPA but pretty good.
