Commercial Description:
Black as coal in color, this bottle conditioned Stout has a velvety rich and sweet malt aroma. After pouring, a dense brown head gives way to a big, full-bodied and creamy texture that has flavors of roasted coffee and black currants, blending perfectly with the malt. A generous amount of hops add balance and complexity to this extraordinary stout that will continue to improve with age. A worthy beer to cellar and enjoy throughout the year.

Very dark pour out of this 12 oz bottle that was courtesy of jayg. Awesome aromas of malted chocolate. We actually started talking about Whoppers at the table. Flavors were nice too. More chocolate and some mocha. Bitter finish was nice too. Very good.

Dark black with a foamy brown head. Dark chocolate and caramel aroma with hints of malt and hops. Roasted malts and chocolate on the body with a smooth finish with a dry fruit characteristic.

Pours a deep black with a chocolate colored head. The nose is strong with dark chocolate, malt, caramel, and hops. The taste is a thick, smooth chocolate and malt, with hints of coffee and hops. Very nice.

Bottle from trade. Pours a black color with a nice size tan head. Thick and oily with a wonderful aroma of roasted malt and dark chocolate. Taste is semi sweet chocolate, coffee, and malt. Not much hop flavor noticed. Finshes smooth and sweet with a bit of fermented fruit in the after taste.

Pours a very dark nearly black color with ruby highlights, thin beige head and some lace. Aroma is moslty chocolate, with intense fruity esters- dired fruits- raisins, also lots of sugary sweetness- brown sugar, and molasses. Syrupy sweet flavor, chocolate malts, light on the roast, fruits, a bit of dirty yeast, and even some funk, with an acrid burnt syrupy sweet finish. Ok overall, but I wanted more roast and coffee in this.
