Commercial Description:
Black as coal in color, this bottle conditioned Stout has a velvety rich and sweet malt aroma. After pouring, a dense brown head gives way to a big, full-bodied and creamy texture that has flavors of roasted coffee and black currants, blending perfectly with the malt. A generous amount of hops add balance and complexity to this extraordinary stout that will continue to improve with age. A worthy beer to cellar and enjoy throughout the year.

Thanks KnN for sharing! Poured black with a dark brown head. Aroma is somewhat light, and smells of coffee and dark malt. Flavor is coffee, baking cocoa, and roasted malts. I love the palate on this! It feels thick but has some light carbonation to keep things from getting to creamy. Finish is coffee bitter, but not to strong. Not bad.

Poured used engine oil black with a dark brown head. Aroma was roast, coffee, a bit of chocolate. Once it warmed up a little, the alcohol became a lot more apparent on the nose as well. Flavor was ok. Lots of roast, lots of big coffee characteristics a bit of chocolate. Mouthfeel was rich and full, but finish was pretty high on the bitter side. Pretty nice Imperial Stout though.

12oz Bottle. Pour black with a brown head. Smells of roasted malts, with a hint of coffee. Taste the same, with hints of sweetness. Pretty good, i prefer the Bells expedition stout to this though.

Bottle. Pours midnight black with a cocoa brown head. The aroma is lightly toasty. This beers flavor profile ranges from bitter roasted espresso on the cooler end to sweet over ripened fruit as it warms. It is medium in body, yet has a full mouthfeel.
