Commercial Description:
Black as coal in color, this bottle conditioned Stout has a velvety rich and sweet malt aroma. After pouring, a dense brown head gives way to a big, full-bodied and creamy texture that has flavors of roasted coffee and black currants, blending perfectly with the malt. A generous amount of hops add balance and complexity to this extraordinary stout that will continue to improve with age. A worthy beer to cellar and enjoy throughout the year.

Pours a jet black with darker brown head. Aroma is coffee and roasted malt, choclate, and caramel. Flavor is full of everything. The usual Roasted and choclatey flavors come through, along with licorice, roasted almonds, and toffee. palate is thick and coated, very nice brew. Thanks To BBB63 for this one!

Pours dark black with a big tan head. Aroma of malt, cabernet, and chocoff. Tastes malty, with chocoff and slight fruitiness at mid-palate, and a velvety chocolate emerging at the finish. Very smooth. Not as complex, dense, or balanced as the elite Impy stouts, but I wouldn’t kick this one out of the refrigerator either. Thanks to BBB63 for this one.

There are only a few Arcadia producs I am wowed by, and this is one. Rich, really thick, beautiful brown lasting head. Aroma is very grain husky. Chocolately, quite a big coffee presence, hoppy, almost a tad winey (lactic souring around the edges), but nothing too much, nothing out of place, holds together when warm, veiled alcohol better than almost any impy I’ve had...wow! Way better than expected, and I am not the site's greatest Imperial Stout lover. I am surprised. Balanced, nuanced, yet strong

Thick and rocky brown head, dark black body. Nice rich aroma; chocolate, and coffee that has some kind of fruity spicyness in it.... maybe a hop variety? Non-rich but very delicious flavor. A bit of burnt molasses, coffee. Good.

Pours an almost black brown color that has a beautiful mocha head. Nice looking beer. Aroma is chocolate mixed with burnt malt and alcohol. Beautiful. Flavor is much the same. Rich smooth body. Nice beer.

Shheeezzzz, this pour produced a 2" beautiful rich cream-mahogany head that shrunk fast into a dark layer of foam. This beer is dark, aint no light getting thru’ this baby.Rich in aromas of molasses, dark chocolaye and burnt toffee.Tastes like it smells, maybe a little expresso, the Cuban stuff, tossed in there.Stays on the tongue in a very pleasurable way as the flavors hold on . Thanks to Slikwily for the great brew.

Appearance is a picture perfect pour of dark molasses brown settling to matte black with a waffer thin super dark brown cap, a cocoa dusting remains intact on top throughout the glass along with a fluffier collar; lacing is minimal. Aroma is faint of soft and dry bakers chocolate with some notes of coffee roast and a touch of alcoholic heat. Some vinous character grows as it warms but stays mostly sweet and chocolatey. Taste is robustly roasty with a black malt tangy edge dripped upon by some dry sweet chocolate powdering. Dry finish ensues with some coffee bean bitterness and burntness with a chocolatey touch which lingers well onto the’n palate. Feel is about medium with a smoother fullness upon some sips but has a certain intensity missing within its character that I can’t quite put my finger on, but it is quite good and quite drinkable. A fine example but lacking some depth and heft.
