Aroma of chocolate, light coffee and a nice sweet roasted malt quality. Flavor is quite similar to aroma with flavors of milk chocolate with coffee and an alc finish. Medium to full creamy body. Very tasty, probably the best produced beer by Arcadia Ive had to date. LilBeerDoctor (1493), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 27, 2008 Bottle, 2007 vintage. Pours black, somewhat thin, with no head at all just some bubbles. Aroma of alcohol and super sweet malt. Flavor initially sickly sweet with a slight roast in the finish. There is a vegetal quality to the taste as well. Ick. The beer improves with warming but it’s still quite boozy. This is not a very good beer.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 26, 2008 2006 vintage, says the bottle, though vintage is overstating things a bit. Dark brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, soy sauce, syrup and mild chocolate. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, brown sugar Thick mouth feel that’s too syrupy for my liking. Amazingly lifeless with little to no carbonation which is odd considering every other Arcadia I opened was pretty much the gushing fountain of beer. jsh12bama (335), Alabama, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Updated: Feb 16, 2009Thanks to 17thfloor! 2007 vintage! Pours black with a nice tan fluffy head. Aroma is strong chocolate and coffee with some toffee and fig notes. Very roasted and sweet, Flavor starts out very much bitter chocolate and molasses. Very rich and woody. Finishes very easy and mellow without any of the harshness that some imperial stouts have. Medium-full bodyand low carbonation. Quite sticky mouthfeel and well balanced. SUprusingly easy to drink but a little basic in the nose. Good imperial stout though.
