3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the Belgian Cafe with Pat and Sean Tommy. Pours a murky orange with amazing frothy, lumpy, lasting beige head and erratic soapy lace. Nose of spice - cinnamon and nutmeg, caramel. Thin to medium body a little watery.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From 12 oz bottle, clear orange copper color with almost no head on an aggressive pour. There is a lot of spice, I get cinnamon and nutmeg clearly, Medium body, slightly, oily, a tinge of spice bitterness, maybe from cinnamon. Malt is bread, similar to pumpkin pie, nutmeg and cinnamon. Interesting take on a ípumpkiní beer.

1.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle. Pours a nice, medium copper color, slight white head. Nose is slightly malty and pie spice... seems promising then goes downhill from there. Mouth is watery and unpronounced up front, then this odd sour-vegetal thing kicks in, with an abundance of cloves (Iím guessing thatís the allspice.... it overwhelmed everything else), then this muted bitterness that was like drinking asprin in water, followed by a soapy finish. Fucking awful.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Ok, I may beer a snob but I don't think there is any pumpkin in this beer. Just spices from a pumpkin pie. Decent beer but I want pumpkin in my pumpkin beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
An ok pumpkin ale. It has a nice spiced flavor to it, but is otherwise fairly bland. Needs more carmel malts for more body IMO.

12 oz bottle lots of spice almost too much. Not a very good pumpkin beer...

This poured a bright orange with a white head. Aroma was Ginger and cinnamon. Flavor was similar, way too much Ginger. Bad pumpkin.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Nose extremely strong on the spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, some vanilla, but a soft, sweet maltiness underlies. Pours murky orange-brown with a dull beige head. Very autumnal taste, the above mentioned spices, pulled back a bit and in perfect balance with each other, stronger malt coming up to meet them from underneath. Almost no sweetness or bitterness here, closer to bland than anyone would like, but thereís a nice earthy overtone and even the thin, weakened malt gets in a punch or two. Cheers for the balls of straight up admitting, right off the bat, that thereís no pumpkin in this, but I need more out of the base beer, even if the limited adjuncts are deployed well.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle served in a lager glass.
Pours a very clear, medium amber, with a creamy bone head and lots of fine-grained carbonation bubbles.
One of those beers that smells really nice, but not entirely like something Iím eager to drink. Te aroma is dominated by spices, as is the flavor. A solid malt base appears mid-taste, but essentially only spices remain in the aftertaste.
Borders on over-spiced but, thankfully, thereís a nice mix of spices, with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice all evident.
Feel: Medium+ body; medium but soft carbonation.
O: good seasonal choice.
