COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jaw-Jacker balances our finest malted barley with a bit-o-wheat and is complimented with a citrus hop kick and just the right amount of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice for a nice marriage of pumpkin pie and beer. Made in the fall to celebrate the changing of the season.

This poured a bright orange with a white head. Aroma was Ginger and cinnamon. Flavor was similar, way too much Ginger. Bad pumpkin.

Itís ok. Lots of spice, cinnamon, cardamom. Light and easy to drink. Brown and not much of a head.

Bottle. Nose extremely strong on the spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, some vanilla, but a soft, sweet maltiness underlies. Pours murky orange-brown with a dull beige head. Very autumnal taste, the above mentioned spices, pulled back a bit and in perfect balance with each other, stronger malt coming up to meet them from underneath. Almost no sweetness or bitterness here, closer to bland than anyone would like, but thereís a nice earthy overtone and even the thin, weakened malt gets in a punch or two. Cheers for the balls of straight up admitting, right off the bat, that thereís no pumpkin in this, but I need more out of the base beer, even if the limited adjuncts are deployed well.

12 oz bottle served in a lager glass. Pours a very clear, medium amber, with a creamy bone head and lots of fine-grained carbonation bubbles. One of those beers that smells really nice, but not entirely like something Iím eager to drink. Te aroma is dominated by spices, as is the flavor. A solid malt base appears mid-taste, but essentially only spices remain in the aftertaste. Borders on over-spiced but, thankfully, thereís a nice mix of spices, with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice all evident. Feel: Medium+ body; medium but soft carbonation. O: good seasonal choice.

Good pumpkin beer with a bit of hoppiness and tartness. Nice spices as well.

Bottle. 8/15/13. Pours a translucent gold-amber color with a thin, just off-white head. Aroma is nice, rich; pumpkin, vanilla, clove, all spice, cinnamon, touch of sour. Taste is very fresh pumpkins, spices (nutmeg, clove, all spice), some cinnamon, touch of citrus. No lacing. Medium-low carbonation. Slick mouth feel. The idea here is pretty fantastic, using the citrus and the wheat in conjunction with the pumpkin. It produces a fairly elevated pumpkin flavor. Unfortunately, there isnít much of it. I would like a more intense flavor profile.

Bottle. This was definitely outside of my spice comfort range. If you love those big fall beers that get all kinds of spicy this is for you.

chinchin (15) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - JUN 4, 2013
Pours a chestnut brown color with one fingers worth of white head. The aroma is potent with a variety of fall cooking spices.†The flavor has notes of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. The spice flavor is not as dominant as I expected with the aroma being so vibrant. The carbonation is very mild and has a watery mouthfeel. Jaw Jacker ends with a bitter nutmeg orange finish. This ale went down easy, and had crisp quality to it, but the body was a little thin.

Bottle... Poured copper orange with an off-white head. Nose had candied malt sweetness with hints of pumpkin spice. Spicy, pie-like, some vegetal squash but very faint. Hints of honey and mint with cinnamon. Overall, low on squash, high on pumpkin pie spice.

Bottle. Dark golden orange with Minsk head. Way too much allspice and cinnamon. Couldn't finish the bottle.
