Commercial Description:
Jaw-Jacker balances our finest malted barley with a bit-o-wheat and is complimented with a citrus hop kick and just the right amount of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice for a nice marriage of pumpkin pie and beer. Made in the fall to celebrate the changing of the season.

Bottle from State Line. Pour was orangey colored with some faint brown notes. Head as average, as was the head. These pumpkin beers are harder and harder to distinguish from the aroma, they run together: spices and pumpkin. The flavor in this one hits initially as pumpkin and light cinnamon, but finishes with lemony notes and iced tea in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel was moderate/standard, perhaps slightly less spicey zing in the finish than for many a pumpkin ale.
9/27/2007: Allspice and a trace of nutmeg dominate the aroma of . Its appearance is a clear Autumn-like color (amberish) with a thin, off-white crown. A good malty base has a layer of spice that sticks to the roof of the mouth and creates a film there. There is lots of cinnamon and nutmeg in the flavor, but the beer actually smells spicier than it tastes. It also has a medium-body and a powdery texture. This is really a spiced beer as no pumpkin is detectable in either the aroma or flavor. All summed up, it’s okay.

12 fl. oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Thanks Tom! Rating #66 for this beer.
I’m a big fan of pumpkin beers, so this one had my attention. Poured orange with some sediment at the bottom, medium head. Aroma is in line with many others in the style, light with spices on top of medium malts and light hops. This beer did not have much flavor compared to others, but would probably fair quite well back-to back with some of the more commercially available pumpkin beers. Decent, but not one I’ll get again.

As pumpkin beers go, this isn’t noteworthy at all. I barely taste any spices and no pumpkin flavor. Good sort of soft and sticky mouthfeel. Tartness on the tail. I can drink it, but I wouldn’t go back for more.

(Bottle from McKean and Charles) Pours fairly cloudy orange with two fingers of off-white head. Aroma mostly of spice with some lighter caramel maltiness. Mouthfeel medium hefty and fairly smooth. Patchy, broken lacing. Flavor of spice (nutmeg, cinnamon) overlaying some caramel and vanilla maltiness. Nothing exciting but not bad.
