12oz bottle. Pours a clear glowing dark reddish orange with a medium foamy fluffy cream colored head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spices, nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin, fairly malty, some burnt hair? Flavor is a bit plasticy, hair-spray, bitter pumpkin, chalky, bitter, spices without anything to back it up. Medium bodied, corse tightly packed carbonation bubbles, thin feeling.

This has one of the coolest looking pumpkin beer labels I have observed. When you pour you get a swirling hypnotizing tempest from the gunk on the bottom of the bottle. Pour it properly like a n unfiltered dunklewiezen. Has a rolling stream of fine bubbles coming from within this light crazy hazy iced tea appearance. Taste is spicy but not quite as bitter as most pumpkin beers I’ve tasted lately. Does coat your tongue with an almost Oktoberfest inference. The spices are a little difficult for my palate in any pumpkin beer, but this is probably one of the better ones so far, overall it lacks the bitter medicinal taste on the finish. The spices somewhat remind me of the heavily spiced american wheats.

(bottle) Medium orange gold, slightly hazy, small head. Faint spice aroma. Flavor was spice (more allspice and nutmeg). Flavor was spice on a malt base.

Bottle. Had this in the fall and never got around to rating it. I guess it wasn’t that good. Aroma was spices, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Flavor was a lot of the same. There are a few better pumpkin beers out there. Although most pumpkin beers aren’t all that great. Poured an orange color no head. Average beer at best.

@Freaktoberfest, pours light orange with a small white head, aroma of clove, mint, lavender and some malt in between, flavors of apple with some acidity and spiced with cinnamon & lavender, quite water. Not my style

Pours a clear amber color with a small amount of head that quickly fades. Aroma is mostly pumpkin and nutmeg along with some all spice and cinnamon. Taste is a bit off. There’s a nice spicy pumpkin flavor but there also a some off flavors. I’m getting a slight sour taste and some metallic notes. It’s also very dry in the finish and I don’t like it here. Very disappointing pumpkin beer.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2011 Poured from a bottle into a pint glass at Dema (Westin) in Detroit, Mich. Color was a darker amber. Looked hoppy right off the bat. Minimal amount of head, lacing and film.
Smelled pumpkin pie, nutmeg and cinnamon. A bit off-putting.
Initial taste was nutmeg. Also some pumpkin pie and some cinnamon spices. A sharp hoppy finish.
Medium body. Dry finish with spices on the end of the tongue. Soft carbonation and flattened out even more at the end.
I guess I’m glad I tried this, so I know not to the next time.

Pours an orange amber with a white head, medium to lively carbonation, and thin lacing. Doughy spiced aroma, cloves... allspice. Your mouth is bombarded with spices and a semi sweet taste, a little sour too. Average carbonation in your mouth with a light body and a semi bitter finish. Overall a 12.

Least favorite of the night. Pour was bland and unexciting. No head. Aroma is hoppy and mild cinnamon. Flavor is slightly slinky and hoppy. Some pumpkin and cinnamon.
2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Frank (2189) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 7, 2010
This is one of those spice beers that just seems a bit haphazard. The color is a muddy orange brown though the head is pretty nice. Spice is dominant but the nose is overall pretty mild and the spice really adds neither warmth nor vibrancy. There is just not much malt flavor to back up the spice here and it’s not dry enough to make it crisp. It’s overall light bodied and possibly a bit over-carbonated. There is a slight band-aid off note in the finish but it really doesn’t detract much. In short, this is a spiced beer. That’s all it is, a brown ale made w/ some spices in it. It is exactly equal to the sum of its part.
