COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jaw-Jacker balances our finest malted barley with a bit-o-wheat and is complimented with a citrus hop kick and just the right amount of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice for a nice marriage of pumpkin pie and beer. Made in the fall to celebrate the changing of the season.

Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is sweet and malty, and has a nice light hoppy bitterness. Not crazy about pumpkin beers.

Bottle. This was definitely outside of my spice comfort range. If you love those big fall beers that get all kinds of spicy this is for you.

Bottle. Nose extremely strong on the spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, some vanilla, but a soft, sweet maltiness underlies. Pours murky orange-brown with a dull beige head. Very autumnal taste, the above mentioned spices, pulled back a bit and in perfect balance with each other, stronger malt coming up to meet them from underneath. Almost no sweetness or bitterness here, closer to bland than anyone would like, but there’s a nice earthy overtone and even the thin, weakened malt gets in a punch or two. Cheers for the balls of straight up admitting, right off the bat, that there’s no pumpkin in this, but I need more out of the base beer, even if the limited adjuncts are deployed well.

Bottle. Allspice is the predominant aroma. Fairly light palate and the flavor of the spices is pleasant but not overwhelming. Not a bad pumpkin beer.

Cinnamon, all-spice, nutmeg dominate Jaw-Jacker from aroma to aftertaste. As ’MrBendo’ states the only pumpkin is on the label, not in the beer. Not sure the thinking behind the recipe for this brew, "but it is what it is". If you like a spiced beer, than give it a try.

This ale poured an copper colour with a almost non-existant head, even after a hefty pour. To the nose there was scents of nutmeg and allspice, but I couldn’t find any cinnamon. First taste was very strong with spices, and this is where I found the cinnamon and other spices added. Finish was hoppy and the palate was bitter with lasting flavours of allspice????

Pours a cloudy dark orange color with small amount of foamy white head. Aroma is sweet and spicey, with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Has a medium mouthfeel with some roasted grains, spice, and a subtle earthiness. Overall, ok, but not really my thing.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2013 A nice seasonal effort, a little on the sweet side, spice are sufficiently prevelant but not as big as in Sreamin Pumpkin, but well balance. Light copper color with no head Sept 2013 Bottle, not the same with a distinct iron taste underneath.

For some reason this year I have felt the need to try Pumpkin beers. I thought This would be a pumpkin beer. However, after tasting it, is a a good ale... with a little too much spice. The pour is cloudy amber, with a small whitish head. the Aroma is sweat malt, clover and nutmeg. The beer lingers a bit on the pallate, and the flavor is pretty much over powered by the spices. An ok beer.
