3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at Sunset Grill, Fall 2008. Amber-copper appearance with a strong, light-beige head. Retention withstanding the spicing. Sweet and gooey in the nose, with vanilla, maple and brown sugar all coming on much stronger than the flavor could ever possibly hope to include. And while it dosent have the richness in flavor, the spicing isnít terribly overdone, leaving some caramel and brown sugar in the background. A little bit of artificial or unfermented sweetness, it seems, with very little actual pumpkin flavor. Fairly substantial mouthfeel, thanks to the chewy malts and probably the wheat addition. Dosent bring anything new to the table as far as spiced autumn seasonals go. Drinkable, though and no major complaints about it.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured into a pint glass.
3.0 A: Moderately hazed medium orange color. Two fingers of frothy/creamy beige head. Retention is a touch below average and a short ring of lacing is left.
3.25 S: Pumpkin spices featuring cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. Caramel maltiness with toastiness underneath. It doesnít have much of an actual pumpkin component - it seems spice heavy. Still, itís pleasant.
3.0 T: Taste is like the nose. Itís spice heavy without a pumpkin backbone. Toasty and caramel malts.
2.75 M: Light to lighter medium body. Watery feel. Good moderate carbonation. Lacking creaminess.
2.75 D: Itís not horrible, but itís one of the weaker pumpkin beers Iíve had this year.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
bottle - Pours slightly hazy orange and smells of pumpkin pie spices, which of course is the point. The flavor is fairly sweet with nutmeg and cinnamon noticeable but not overly strong. Light to medium bodied. Average or a little better overall.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
DATE TASTED: October 22, 2015 ... GLASSWARE: Schneider Wiesen Edel-Weisse pokal... OCCASION: another good Thursday ends with some beer... APPEARANCE: lazy, hazy, off-white head that settles to a consistent halo; body is an orange-amber, equally hazy body with slight effervescence--a fitting, Autumnal view... AROMA: light gingerbread, nutmeg and pumpkin spices allure the nostrils; a wheaty clove spice... PALATE: thin, wheaty in consistency; smooth and easy drinking--a bit too easy?... TASTE: a mellow, blunted impact that belies the aroma; nutmeg and pumpkin spices are clearest, with cinnamon and allspice or pepper developing the profile into a larger-than-expected flavor experience; the lightness of body plays out in the flavor, allowing for a swift sipping and a reasonably enjoyable quality... OVERALL: not sure how to take this one at first, with its lightness exhibiting a wheat beer, its ABV upwards of an ale, and a taste that blend the two... intriguing enough to encourage another bottle--a possibility, but not a necessity...

aroma of a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste is a nice cinnamon sugar with a bit of a spice aftertaste. One of the better pumpkin beers.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a clear orangish brown in color. A little bit of spice in the aroma but not overpowering. Taste is a little thin with some fall spice flavors but nothing out of the ordinary. Somewhat disappointing.

2.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Itís nutmeg and water. Thatís it. The aroma fools you. High Aroma that is spiced and warm. The flavor was weak. It was low at first, water and ale had no taste. Then you get a nutmeg taste, thatís it. Like you licked the spoon or something. Palate is watery. Color is decent. Tap
