COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Smoked Porter is a robust London style porter with a deep chocolate/ruby color and the subtle accent of hardwood smoked malt. This distinctive beer is brewed using no less than seven different varieties of premium European malted barley, resulting in a complex and full bodied beer characterized by hints of chocolate, coffee, caramel and beechwood smoke. The big malty finish to this beer is balanced by a solid hop bitterness and the refined English aroma and flavor of premium Goldings finishing hops.

12oz bottle. ABV listed as 7%. Nearly pitch-black color, minimal light tan head. Little dots of lace. Good, thick aroma... This could pass for a stout, easily. Nice, crisp carbonation. Good aftertaste, nice bitter dark chocolate aroma. Very drinkable! Some warmth, but great roastiness.

Bottle. Pours an orangish-brown with a small, beige head. Roasted aroma with notes of chocolate, coffee and a hint of smoke. Flavor is roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Also hints of smoke, wood and a hint of hops.

Vary dark amber with a nice brown head that drops off quickly. Lace remains top-to-bottom through the entire glass. Taste is mostly dark roasted malt with bitterness from coffee and chocolate. There is a wisp of smoke if you look for it. Very drinkable. I found that it goes very well with plain Wheat Thins.

Pours black with thin, but creamy tan head. Pretty good head retention. Aroma of coffee and some alcohol. Taste of black coffee, roasted malts, and dark chocolate. Finish is long with slight bitterness. Very well done, will be drinking this again.

Bottle. Wow, thats phenomenal, and lives up to the rating for sure. Pours a very dark robust but clear brown with a small off-white frothy head. Love that aroma, purple fruit, hops, charcoal, dark chocolate, balanced roast, nutty, everything a porter should be. Flavor follows exactly, bit of a burnt rubber thing that plays very well with the ashy fruitiness, plums, oh that yeast character is quite nice, finishing nutty with some lingering coffee. Medium bodied, creamy with fluffy carbonation feel with a slight sizzle. Very well done here.

12oz bottle, wish I had this on tap! Great opaque black with a dark red hue. Looks fantastic, one of the best I’ve had. Nice chocolate aroma that imparts a little fruit and a little smoke. Caramel malts and espresso rip through the entry then leaves a slight bitterness in the finish. The ABV provides an interesting weight, and signifies a nice cold weather offering. Excellent.

A black beer with a very small tan head. The aroma is strong on anise, alcohol, and raisins. The flavor is roasted malt and toffee with some raisin in the finish. A full flavored porter to be sure.

I love porters, I didn’t think I would like impy porters, but because of the smoked flavor, this one was drinkable. This brew was well-balanced, chocolate malts/ malted barley, but much too sweet for my liking. Good CO2, a beer that should be tried once. I love the label.

12oz bottle. Clear, orangey brown with a lightly creamy, beige head. Alomost vinous, roasted malt aroma. Medium body with dark, roasted malty accents. Almost a bit coffeeish without ever being overly burned or bitter.
