COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Nut Brown Ale is a full bodied English-style brown ale with a deep mahogany color. We use six different types of premium malted barley to create a flavor that includes hints of chocolate, raisins, dates and almonds. The malty sweet finish is balanced by a smooth bitterness and a subtle fruitiness in flavor and hop aroma.

Bottle. A rich red/brown color with minimal head. The aroma is not strong but I pick up some sugars with hints of nuts and chocolate. There is some graininess in the palate and hints of vanilla and the familiar ’nut brown’ flavor.

Red brown color; thin and unassuming head; Nuts indeed in the aroma. Full bodied and very satisfying (hey those are strong words from me to a Nut Brown- I hate Nut Browns normally!).

Nice deep ruby red, beige head, decent lace. Nose is malt, slight hints of roasted grain. Begins malt sweet, the top thin, the finish is nicely hopped, a bit acidic with light to moderate carbonation, also a tad dry. Drinkable, but nothing to ’Scream About’.

A very nice brown ale. Very dark in the glass with a nice, light malt aroma. Very nice caramel and hop taste with just the right amount of hops on the finish. I will drink this one again. You could easily make a session out of this beer.

really dismal label: a huge field of gravel with a drab brown diamond framing this ghoulish turtle skull or albino bowling ball; what is that thing? call me, arcadia, i’ll make you a decent label. there’s a certain aroma i’ve come to associate with great british beers, like bass for example. arcadia is like that only more so. not a sight for sore eyes but a scent for sore sinuses. ahem, anyway. the aroma is to die for. god wears a cologne about like this, it’s a vintage bookstore, it’s vanilla, it’s brown sugar carmelizing in a peach cobbler. i say jump and the flavor says: ’how high?’. stop me, i’m raving. great beer.

Not a bad beer, but like most Arcadia beers, not the best in it’s class.

A respectable beer. Not exactly my kind of flavor, but i can diefinetely give it some respect for being a well crafted and robust tasting brew.

Great interpretation of a English Brown Ale. Dark black/burgundy color. Nice carmel taste through out with some hop notes.
