Pour this White IPA in a tall glass to showcase its hazy, golden color and dense, creamy head. Rapunzelís up-front blast of aromatic hops ushers your palate into a balance of crisp, sweet, malt character and lush, juicy hop flavors of pineapple, citrus, and lemongrass. The tart wheat character and effervescent carbonation accent Rapunzelís light, elegant body while the waves of hop flavor ensure you that youíre drinking a well-crafted brew.

bottle. Golden with one finger head. Mild wheat beer thatís been hopped up a bit. I think rating this as an IPA is not quite fair. Hops are fresh and crisp. For a wheat beer, this is a nice one.

This bills itself as a wheat IPA and nowadays that makes me expect a white IPA of some sort but this is a straight-up American IPA brewed w/ some wheat in the grist--and a pretty good one too. It is slightly hazed golden orange in the glass and has a white head of fine white bubbles w/ a few ropes of lace here and there. Itís nose is lots of melon and some floral tones. This is a nice, dry IPA that drinks very easily w/ its brisk carbonation. The dryness highlights the citrus rind bitterness in the finish and helps keep the medium bodied texture from becoming sluggish. This is a tasty IPA overall, definitely one Iíd buy regularly if it was local.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy bright gold color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, floral, grass, pine, wheat, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/floral hops and light-moderate pale malt balance; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, wheat, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, wheat, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of bright citrus/floral hops and light-moderate pale malt sweetness; with a nice malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and fairly sticky/bready mouthfeel that is nice, Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good wheat IPA. All around nice balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops and light-moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2014 12 oz bottle poured into an imperial pint glass. The aroma is initially a strong cereal note with some crisp "salt water breeze" qualities. Thereís also some biscuit dough, yeast, some mango, tangerine, and lemon soda. It pours a slightly hazy, effervescent yellow color with a soft, whipped, doughy, white head. Itís rather rocky looking with varying sizes of bubbles. The lacing "evaporates" almost as soon as itís left behind, although trace amounts are left. A good amount of dough like head is retained throughout the drink. The taste is a dry blend of medium bitter and medium sweet. The thin, oily texture has a light body and a decent amount of fizzy carbonation. Itís pretty crisp and refreshing. Thereís some buttered toast and a touch of bright tropical sweetness with some spruce initially, but it fades and the spruce and toast take over with a noticeable resin quality in the finish. The aftertaste is clean with a lingering citrus bittersweet and biscuit touch.

Aroma is wheat, fruit, spices and mild skunky/dank hops. The flavor is citrus, wheat, fruit, slight hop resin notes and a tangy/bitter finish.

Pretty bland IPA. Too clear for a wheat ale, and too tasteless for and IPA. We donít need this!
